All of the students at Glenroi participated in learning and activities where they had to imagine a world free from bullying. Students in all of our classes talked about what it means to be an UPSTANDER – someone who stands up for people who are not being treated fairly or justly. It is important that all members of our community treat each other with respect and equality. Students learn from each other but they also learn from the community in which they live. Let us all come together to make a stand against bullying and violence in our school and our community. Talk to your children about their dreams for a world free from bullying. If you haven’t had a chance, look at the film made by Year 5/6 Maroon and encourage all of our students to “Speak Even if Your Voice Shakes’. I am Dylan Reihana. I’m an SRC leader. I’m in 3/6 Lilac this year. I like Miss Davis. She is the best teacher. I like being an SRC leader because I get to run assembly for the whole school. I wear my badge and my red SRC hat every day. On the playground I like playing cars with Desmond and playing tennis on the oval. I love puppies so I wrote this story. I have a puppy at home. His name is Dobby. He is a little white dog, just like the one in the picture. I hope you all like my story!
