Three Ideas for the music video

Here we would have Steve In a boat using stop motion he would travel around the city

and we would bring in Pirates that would chase him around the town trying to catch him. Steve would out wit the pirates and

escape them in his boat and walk off smug at the end of the video. The idea is quite childish

which I think would be quite humorous and exciting to watch. It would be shot during the

day around Norwich. We would need one camera and film it in real time adding the stop

motion effect in editing. We would need a cardboard boat which I would get from a

delivery carton at work. It would probably take an afternoon to film and would be shot in the style of Michel Gondry’s White Stripes Video

The Hardest Button to Button. We would need somebody to help me film, two pirates and Steve to star in the Video or Badly Drawn

Boy’s Disillusion video.

For this idea we would hire out The Marquee’s back room for a gig and get together a crowd, instead of a normal gig we would have a young child sitting next to Steve dressed like him and playing the guitar next to him which would create an alter ego idea. The child

would run through the crown creating havoc and general mess whilst Steve would play on. We would need to have two cameras, a child, Steve and a Crowd. Possibly a woman lead role so the boy

could try to “chat her up.” We would need to sort out lighting with the sound engineer at The Marquee, it would probably be on an evening as this is when you can hire out the Venue. Stylistically it would look

quite grungy as that is what the venue looks like.

IdeaThree For this idea we would hire out The Marquee again and

have Steve hi-jacking another band’s gig. During this there would be a narrative with Steve fighting with his

girlfriend after finding her kissing another man. We would need one camera and would realistically have to shoot

over a couple of days. We would need a crowd, the band to hijack, a dressing room at the gig, props like guitar

cases and microphone stands, rope to tie up the band, a flat to shoot narrative in, a lead women and man role and some sugar water for glistening tears! It would look quite

grungy again because of the venue but the narrative would be shot in a sort of home movie style so I looks more personal and more like one of their memories.
