Canada had many achievements on the battlefields of Europe. They were capped by a three-month stretch of victories at the end of the war August 8 th to November 11 th , 1918. These came to be known as "Canada's Hundred Days". Remembrance Day was first observed in 1919 throughout the British Commonwealth. It was originally called “Armistice Day” to commemorate Armistice Agreement that ended the First World War on Monday, November 11, 1918, at 11 a.m.on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month. Remembrance Day in Canada 2018
100th Anniversary of the armistice that ended the first
World War in 1918. Canada had many
achievements on the battlefields of Europe. They were capped
by a three-month stretch of victories at the end of the war –
August 8th to November 11th, 1918. These came to be known as

Peace Prayer Walk: Join participants from local churches in our annual Morden Peace Prayer Walk on Sunday Nov. 11
th at 3:00 p.m. starting
at Confederation Park (Stephen St. and 9 St.). The walk will last about
