Hi alllast couple of weeks has been tough both at home and workimproving now!

Robbie Manzano and Kate told us about their adventures in Nepal on 31 July. I gave my MeTalk on 7 August. Last week we had our Board meeting. The Heros Grant and the

Volunteer Grants 2013 recently awarded to our Club have yet to be received. Relay for Lifeand Floriade (only 4 weeks away now) are proceeding on course. Our students competing for

NYSF were not successful this time. Some of us welcomed Lola from Belgium on Sunday11 AugustNatalie and Andrew will be her host parents later in the year.

The Renal Unit working bee for last weekend was cancelled because of the rain forecastshould be rescheduled soon.

The Charter Night for the Interact Club of Queanbeyan High School Student Representative

Council is scheduled for Monday 26 August 2013 at 5pm at the School Hall it will bewonderful to see this finally happen.

Next week we have our official visit from our DG, Maureen Manning, - please make sureyou do attend.

Tim and his daughter, Erin, judged students in the 4 Way Test Speech competition atQueanbeyan High School. The final three students selected from the whole District 9710then appear at the District Conference in October. A presentation will be made at theirAssembly this Friday.

The next RYPEN seminar for 13-15 year olds is scheduled for 13-15 September so pleasethink about suitable candidatesit is to our advantage to have our application/s in by 31August.

Trent completed the City2Surf in Sydney on Sunday 11 August14 kms but talked to lots of

people along the way! He says that the group raising money for Create had reached over$30,000 so far.
