Hello all,

Some good news Trent Baxter will be formally inducted into our club this week.

We are going to be receiving a cheque for $100 thanks to Grilld atManuka, as part of their local promotion.

QHS SRC Interact is getting ever closer thanks more details to come

very soon about this

Queanbeyan Relay for Life is booked in for February 15 & 16, 2014. Our

club will be looking after the raffle table again, as well as providing a

healthy snack stall. BBQ duties will hopefully be handed over to another

group in 2014.

Also

Entertainment Books can now only be ordered through the website as we

have sold all the books we had on hand thanks all for supporting this

fundraiser.

Changeover is only 2 weeks away, so we need everyone to RSVP ASAP.

On behalf of Matt & Wendy Napier, I would like to invite you and the Rotary Club of Queanbeyan to join a

short section of the Global Poverty Walk on Monday, the 17th

of June, as Matt visits Queanbeyan on his

walk across Australia.As you may know, Matt is walking 4,400km across the country while bouncing an AFL

ball to raise awareness for what Australia can do to end global poverty; something which has never been

done before. Matt will be visiting Queanbeyan on Monday, the 17th

of June. He will be meeting his

supporters at 10:30am at the Queanbeyan Visitor Information Centre (the corner of Lowe Street andCanberra Avenue). Matt and his supporters will then walk up Monaro Street as a group, finishing at

Queanbeyan East Public School (the corner of Yass Road and Mulloon Street) about 11:00am. I would like

to invite you and the Rotary Club of Queanbeyan to join Matt and his supporters in walking the

Queanbeyan leg of the Global Poverty Walk up Monaro Street.We will be inviting local supporters,

councillors, other community groups, local media, school children, as well as the Labor member for Eden-

Monaro, Mike Kelly MP and the Liberal Candidate, Peter Hendy.I hope that you can join us to encourage

Matt in his extraordinary effort and show your support for Australias commitment to reducing global

poverty. We welcome any members of the Rotary Club of Queanbeyan who would like to come along.
