Assuring Software QualityGovernment and Financial Services, Banking & Insurance (FSBI) customers insist that the quality of their applications is assured.

GKIM places significant emphasis on quality by having distinct Software Quality

Assurance (SQA or QA in short) and Software Testing, the equivalent of Quality Control (QC).

QA applies throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to verify all

project artifacts from Requirements phase, all the way till project “go-live”. QA ensures that issues, not just defects, are discovered early, where they are much easier and cheaper to fix, avoid costly reworks, reduce project risks, and achieve tangible savings in time and money.

Software Testing, or QC, ensures a good test coverage where all the requirements are fully validated, and passes the tests that ran through the system. Such tests can be either manual and/or automated.

Proper planning for QA and QC ensures that the most appropriate approach is taken

based on the needs of the project. Quality Plan defines all the quality goals, and governs how, what, who, when the artifacts are to be verified. Test Plan dictates the approach to design, execute, setup, and report on the tests.

Collectively, QA and QC, helps to keep project on track – budget, schedule, scope, and

costs – and ultimately renders confidence to customers during project sign-off.

We believe strongly that Quality should be delivered cost-effectively to all customers.
