Nummenpakka School consists of three units:

First graders are given their yellow caps by ninth graders during the first week at school.

Ninth graders celebrate the ending of school at a special lunch at school.

Every classroom is equipped with a beamer. Wifi has just been installed.Thus pupils are able to access the Internet by using our new Tablet computers.

There are 15-minute-long breaks between the lessons.Fifth graders have been trained to encourage other pupils to exercise and play games during the breaks.

There are several afternoon clubs in our school: nature club, textile work club, cake making club, sports club for passive pupils, etc.

Fifth graders go to a three-day school camp. Ninth graders make a class trip.

Once a year on a Saturday parents are invited to school to attend lessons together with their children.

Yrityskylä - Me & MyCity, is an award-winning learning concept on entrepreneurship, economy and society. It is meant for sixth-grade pupils.

The Me & MyCity learning environment is a miniature town, operating in several locations around Finland. There is one in Turku.

The concept brings together pupils and teachers, university students, companies and local authorities to foster young people’s employability skills.

During the study module, the pupils start to understand their own role as a part of the community and gain information about economy and different actors in the society.

Me & MyCity concept has raised a lot of interest in different parts of the world.
