Our Story

To make Gyumri attractive for the development of entrepreneurship ecosystem and establishment of a residential and entrepreneurial district in Gyumri based on innovative technologies, creative industries, and sustainable development goals - first one in the world in this format” To make Gyumri an attractive destination for the local talented young people to stay and work in the city, to attract field professionals to move to Gyumri, and to boost investment, first of all, the city should match the expectations and become a sustainable place to live and to create.Thus the objective of the project is to make Gyumri attractive for the development of the entrepreneurship ecosystem. The neighborhood called The Distrikt aims to fulfill this function. The project is developed based on the city context analysis, considering the lack of professionals in the technology sector in Gyumri and the need to make the city more attractive and competitive for the field professional.It is in line with its strategic development goals of the city and Armenia in general, considering the priorities to develop the high-tech industry and reaching the sustainability targets. It aims to address the major challenges hindering the sustainable development of Gyumri - lack of investment and job opportunities, immigration, aging population, high rate poverty, unsatisfactory environmental performance, and the overall capacity for improvement. Given the interconnection and interdisciplinarity of the challenges the city is facing, the project has adopted a holistic approach as a framework taking the Sustainable Development goals adopted by the United Nations. At the core of the project is the development of the sustainable entrepreneurship ecosystem which aims to create economic value and return from the investment while also generating societal benefits addressing the challenges of the city both social, environmental, and economic.

The roofs of the houses, which shows that the district is habitable.The mark is also a stylized version of the initials of the words "The Distrikt Gyumri" and the symbolic words "Innovative" "Creative" "Economic" for the brand "The Distrikt".

The logo symbol can used in any position being adapted to the formation of design concept.

The CMYK color model is a subtractive color model, based on the CMYK color model, used in color printing, and is also used to describe the printing process itself.

A hex triplet is a six-digit, three-byte hexadecimal number used in HTML, CSS, SVG, and other computing applications to represent colors.

The main purpose of the RGB color model is for the sensing, representation, and display of images in electronic systems, such as televisions and computers.

As the main idea of Distrikt is implementation of the EU Sustainable Development Goals, we have followed the color combination of each goal and displayed the 17 goals’ colors as backgrounds.
