acceptable use policy

mats management reserves the right to use and grant permission to use the mats logo in any way it deems appropriate. mats management also reserves the right to request that other parties cease usage of the logo in instances where management deems the usage inappropriate, misleading or in violation of any law or regulation.

the mats logo should be used to promote legitimate mats-related activities, such as to promote a product or service that will be on display in an exhbitor’s booth. the mats logo may be used on the user’s printed materials and/or website provided the logo usage adheres to the mats corporate logo guidelines and mats website links policy.

the logo may not be used in any way that could be reasonably interpreted by mats management as:

- harmful to the reputation or image of the mats event

- a false or implied endorsement, sponsorship, license, affiliation, approval of or mats support of the user’s products, services, events or related activities

- misrepresentation of the relationship between the user and mats management and/or the event

- a violation of any law, regulation, public policy or the rights of others

- disparaging exhibit management associates, inc., the mid-america trucking show or its attendees, exhibitors, contractors, employees, officers, directors, shareholders, etc.

mats website links policythe mid-america trucking show welcomes links from other industry-related organizations to the truckingshow.com website, with the following conditions:

- links to publicly available content on mats websites are acceptable without notifying mats management. however, links to mats website content may not be used to imply mats endorsement or sponsorship of the entity providing the link or any of the entity’s products or services.

- links to mats websites should be in the form of hypertext such as “mid-america trucking show,” “mats 09” or “2009 mid-america trucking show” or in the form of the official mats logo. no commercially oriented text or graphics may be associated with the link to the mats website.

- hypertext links to content on mats websites must clearly identify the content of the link and contain identification of mats or mid-america trucking show as part of the link.

please note that content on any part of mats websites may change at any time. any links to content within mats websites should be reviewed regularly to assure that the links are still active and point to the intended content.

general guidelines consistent and proper usage of the mid-america trucking show corporate logo reinforces all mats branding efforts. the following pages will explain the integral components of the mats corporate logo and demonstrate how to properly and effectively use the trademark.

clearspace

to assure the prominence and clarity of the mats logo, it is important to make sure that the mats logo always has room to breathe. to that end, the mats corporate logo must always have a minimum clearspace of 1X, as illustrated to the left. 5X is the distance from the bottom of the logo to the top. no imagery or text should encroach upon the mats logo, and the minimum clearspace should be adhered to.

these guidelines only change when applying the mats url below the logo. the url should only be applied below the logo at a vertical distance of 1/18 of the logo height. however the url should never be applied when the logo is less than 1.5 inches wide or the url typeface is less than 7 points.

the addition of the mats url is the only exception to the clearspace guidelines.1X

logo size

to ensure the legibility of the mats corporate logo, a minimum size has been determined. the mats corporate logo cannot be any smaller than 1 inch in width. however, the preferred logo size is a minimum of 1.5 inches in width with the inclusion of the url at a minimum of 7 points (url font should always be univers ultra condensed 59).

consistent color usage across all media is essential for the integrity of the mats brand. below are the color formulas for the color swatches used in the mats logo for several analog and digital formats. no other color specifications should be used without explicit permission from exhibit management associates, inc. (the producers of the mid-america trucking show).

shown below are the approved versions of the mats corporate logo.

we request that you always use the 4 color cmyk version (centered if possible) unless you are printing a piece that does not accommodate that selection, in which case the 1 color - black or 1 color - reversed is the preferred version.
