Over thirty renowned schools from Gurgaon and NCR participated in this mega event. Eminent personalities from various walks of life like writers, editors, University Professor, IT Professionals along with experts graced the occasion and gave their valuable judgement . A large number of students from various schools partici- pated in the Language Festival of all five languages comprising Hindi, English, Sanskrit, German and French and also highlighted the importance of learning languages . A beautiful cultural programme was put up by the students. The audience highly appreciated the fusion Dance. Various competitions like Rthyms, Dubbomania, Directors Cut, Curtain Call, Sanskrit Geeti Kaavya Nritya, Voicing The Opin- ion, The Quest, Vaad Vivaad, Online Story writing, Online Essay Writing, Online Article, Online Poem writing along with competitions in German- Chor(German Choir) and French- Defile de Caractereswere organized to test the lan- guage skills of the students.AIS 46 was adjudged as the overall winner. Being the host school, the trophy was later pre- sented to the team of AIS, 43 Gurgaon. Amity International School, Sector 43, Gurgaon was adjudged as the Overall Winners of Literati 2016.

VASUDHA—NEW LEARNING EXPERIENCES Amity International School, Sec-46 , Gurgaon organized Vasudha, 2016- a Science Exhi-bition to provide a platform to the young students to come out with research based, innovative projects. Students displayed various scien-tific models based on the theme- ‘Science Technology and Innova-tion for Sustainable Development’. The innovative projects displayed were judged by a panel of eminent scientists including Rekha Tripathi, Dr Jeetendra nagpal,Dr.Nalini Jain, Ms.Madhavi Rao, Ms.Meenu Tyagi , Ms.Nidhi Verma. Children adopted a suave and urbane approach to present skits, quiz prepared models, made apps and Power point presentations ,did experi-ments ,conducted survey and did analysis. With the help of their guide teachers they worked under following themes –Food And Agri-culture, Lifestyle and Livelihood, Sustainable Development, Natural Resource Manage-ment, Health And Hygiene, Traditional Knowledge System And Disaster Management. They could understand the problem faced in each aspect and worked upon it to give sus-tainable solutions.

SPECTACULAR DISPLAY OF IDEAS AND CREATIVITY AT MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCE

School celebrated “MI FORTNIGHT” for classes 1 to 4 to provide opportunities for innovative learning, based on a child’s aptitude and interest. Every student was given a chance to explore all the eight work-stations. Age – appropriate activities were designed for each MI conclave. The AMITASHA girls were also called to explore the conclaves and build their M.I. Performa. The girls were enthusiastic and quick in understanding the instructions. The fest went on smoothly for two weeks and all the students were assessed on their skills and intelligences.

To mark the 70th year of freedom, Amitians of AIS -46 Gurgaon, celebrated Independence Day on August 15,2016. The melodious strains of the patriotic song sung with an energetic and patriotic fervor in the morning assembly re-sounding through the hallways of the school set the tone for celebration of independence week at AISG-46. On this patriotic occasion, the students showcased a colorful spectacle of India’s vision through a week long activities of pro-gramme like pledge writing, essay writing, poster making, quiz etc. students of classes 1 to 5 prepared badges, partici-pated in tri color classroom decoration activity where they decorated their class with tri color kites, buntings and flags. The students participated in role-play competition on the theme of freedom fighters of India. Students pledged to create a better and improved India .

THE GLOBAL TIMES AWARDS 2015-16 Under the leadership of Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity Group of Schools and RBEF, the inter Amity Making A Newspaper Contest in its seventh year, took the legacy forward. GT Awards, a culmination of the competition, acknowledged

and lauded talent as awards were given out to those who are the best in their fields, viz, Best Headline, Most Outstanding Story, Best Illustration, etc. Gracing the occasion were Ms Pooja Chauhan, Vice Chairperson, Amity Humanity Foundation and Ms Divya Chauhan, Chair-person, ASFA, ASFT & ASPA. Ms Kadambini Sharma, anchor & editor, foreign affairs, NDTV, and chief guest for the day was in awe of the ‘grand’ ceremony. The jury members Gaurav Alagh, Found-er & Director, Integration Media and Chandramohan Jyoti, Assistant Art Director, India Today, were all praises for Amitians. Congratulating students on their brilliant editorial skills, Gaurav Alagh said, “GT is nurturing such amazing talent that I would like to work with them in my next venture.” AISG-46 won awards in Fictional Story (Second Runner up – Toyam Khanna, class 8), Best Photograph (First Prize –Samyak Aggarwal), Best Graphic (First Prize – Sanchit Bhatt, class 11), Best Poster (First Prize - Siddharth Bagga and Satvika Kalia class 11, Best Design (First Prize)

CONNECT WITH DIVINITY THROUGH ART : CHITRANKAN 2016

Amity 46 organized Chitrankan-The Festival of Colours that aimed to let students imagine, create or experiment to reach out to beautiful spheres of art through exciting competitions.17 schools from Delhi and NCR participated in the event. The students exhibited their artistic flair and their creations in the competitions like Best Out of Waste,3D Sculpture,3D Decoupage, Graffitti, Caricature, Mix Media Mural, Clay Relief ,Tableau Design, Dry Flower Arrangement ,Clay Tale, Art Infographics judged by the freelance artists Ms. Rekha Bajpae and Ms. Subhra Chand . Amity International School, Sector 46 stood first, but being the host school they did not compete for the Rolling Shield which was awarded to Amity International School, Pushp Vihar by the school Principal, Mrs. Arti Chopra.The Art competi-tion saw young artists giving expression to their imagination in vivid shapes. The event Chitrankan, left each contestant enriched through participation and interaction in the highly stimulated environment of challenge, experiences and achievement.

ATTEMPT TO ENGAGE LEARNERS’ CREATIVITY : DEBATE WORKSHOP

A workshop on Debating skills was conducted at Amity International School, Sector 46, Gurgaon to pro-mote public speaking skills amongst the next generation. The workshop led by the Danish Debater, Mr Lawand Hiwa Namo , was truly insightful and engaging. By the end of the workshop, the learners were able to learn the essentials of an effective and intelligently structured debate. Students also got a blueprint for debating. They were told techniques and tricks to counter their opponent and how to conduct themselves while debating. They even got to prac-tice what they had learnt in the first Inter Amity Debate Tournament that was conducted as a part of the workshop. It gave the students an exposure that was at par with interna-tional standards.

DEEPEN YOUR MATHEMATICAL SKILLS—Dr. STYA PAUL MEMORIAL MATH-EMATICS QUEST ,2016

Students of Amity 46 won Dr. Stya Paul Memorial Mathematics Quest ,2016 for the second consecutive year. The event, Math Quest was held at Apeejay School, Saket. The event witnessed an over-zealous par-ticipation by over 20 reputed schools from Delhi-NCR. Students from Classes 2 to class 12 took part in mind boggling innovative competitions and won prizes. For Sudo Relay- Daksh Kalra of class V, Nidhish Jakhar of class VI , Rudra of class VII and Kaenat of class VIII, got first prize. For Mathematics Model Making-Yavnika Garg and Aarushi Barwa of

class X got first prize. For Maths Quiz-Yash of class XI won third prize and hence qualifying for overall championship trophy of the event .

Jyotishmaan Shandilya and Ayush Doodhraj of Class 8 showcased their best of talents and bagged the second position at the competition titled’ Live on the is-land of emotions- Every emotion is important’ HELD AT Blue Bells Public School..

WINNING ACCOLADES AT PRESIDIUM MUN

.Harshit Chauhan of class 9 won Best Delegate award in Citizen Dialogue, Prabudh Ghalyan bagged high Commendation Award in Citizen dialogue. Kriti Panwar bagged high Commendation award in UNFCC and Arnav of class 8 won special mention in UNGA at Presidium MUN Conference. Over 500 delegates from 20 schools across Delhi/NCR participated in the event.

INTER AMITY KHO-KHO TOURNAMENT

MOVIE MASTI The experience of watching a movie on a big screen always brings s beaming smile on everyone’s face. Bearing the same spirit, Students of Jr. School (classes I to VI) took a break from their daily school academics and activities and went for a movie between 18th July to 3rd August. Students enjoyed watching movies like Secret life of Pets, Ice Age V And Finding Dory along with their friends and Class teachers.

MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCE FEST 2016

Amity International School, Sector 46 hosted fourth Inter school Annual MI Fest -2016, to promote holistic development of a child’s personality. Eighteen schools from Gurgaon and NCR took part in the event. Various competitions like Rhyming Zone, Think-Tac-Toe, MI Quest, Tech MI, Radio Gaga, Street Feet Rhythm, Junk Band Ensemble were assessed by eminent judges on parameters that account-ed for all the 8 multiple intelligences viz. Linguistic, Spatial, Bodily, Kinesthetic, Inter Personal, Intra Personal, Logical, Musical and Naturalistic. The judges were amazed to see the talent and enthusiasm of children at such a young age. The Overall Championship trophy was won by Amity International school, Sector 43, Gurgaon. School Principal, Mrs. Arti Chopra and the respective judges gave away the prizes for each event.

JANAMASHTAMI CELEBRATION
