I also acknowledge the outstanding work and dedicaon of our caring and skilled teachers and staff who provide the students with a rich, dynamic and engaging educaon. Central Coast Dance Fesval Congratulaons to our senior girls who performed their dance on Monday night at the Central Coast Dance Fesval at Laycock Street Theatre. It was a special experience for all involved and an absolute pleasure to watch. The girls were a standout on the night and did the Empire Bay Public School community very proud. Congratulaons to you all and to Mrs Jones for their efforts in enabling such a posive experience for our students! NAIDOC Week Celebraons are well underway. A number of ongoing in-class and school acvies have been occurring during this week to celebrate Aboriginal culture. Well done to our Aboriginal Educaon commiee for their outstanding work in providing the students with such a vast range of engaging educaonal experiences. Reports Congratulaons to our students for their efforts in learning to date this year. Semester 1 progress reports were sent home on Monday. Dear Parents and Carers

As the term draws to a close I would like to sincerely thank the students for their sustained efforts as

Central Coast Dance Festival

Congratulations to our senior girls who performed their dance on Monday night at the Central Coast

Dance Festival at Laycock Street Theatre It was a special experience for all involved and an absolute

pleasure to watch The girls were a standout on the night and did the Empire Bay Public School

community very proud Congratulations to you all and to Mrs Jones for their efforts in enabling such a

positive experience for our students

NAIDOC Week

Celebrations are well underway A number of ongoing in-class and school activities have been occurring

during this week to celebrate Aboriginal culture Well done to our Aboriginal Education committee for

CMPS PampC Association plays an active role at Central Mangrove As well as raising additional funds to

assist with school activities and Uniform Shop the PampC can have a say in everything from traffic safety

problems bullying enrolment issues school transport testing procedures improved curricula school

funding teacher performance student support services libraries amp information technology student coun-

selling and wellbeing to mention just a few topics

Your PampC association can assist in making a difference to how your child is educated and help them enjoy

their time at school resulting in better performance in and out of the class room Research has shown that

students whose parents are involved in their school (via their PampCs) perform better academically and so-

cially

Welcome back Hope everyone had a great holiday This year we a pleased to announce that our PampC meetings will be held on the 3rd Tuesday of every month (excluding holidays) with alternative daynight meetings Our First Meeting for this year will be Tuesday 20th February 700pm in Cooinda Attending PampC meetings are a great way of finding out what is happening within your childrsquos school It is also a great way to make new friends and to be a part of our wonderful school community We hope to see many more new faces with our new alternative times Our first event for the year is a School Disco to be held on Tuesday 20 March keep an eye out for further details in the next coming weeks We have an exciting calendar of events for the students as well as parentscarers to participate in such as Easter Raffle - Motherrsquos Day Stall amp Raffle - Bush Dance -Fatherrsquos Day Stall amp Raffle -MuftiCrazy Hair Day Camel Calendars - Christmas Raffle If you have any ideas contacts etc or would like an issue raised at a PampC meeting please email the PampC on ebpspcgmailcomau

NETBALL

Last Friday the Girls Netball Team played Round 4 of the PSSA Knockout here at school against Umina PS It was fantastic to have a home crowd cheering us on The teams defence was strong as well as their attacking skills The girls worked really well as a team representing our schools values of Be Respectful Congratulations to the girls who won the game 24-5 and will go on to play the next round of the Knockout Competition

2 Everyone is in and has to try and steal otherrsquos lsquotailsrsquo If you steal a lsquotailrsquo tuck it into your pants and keep trying to steal more If all your lsquotailsrsquo have been stolen you are NOT out just keep trying to steal more

Lunch Orders mdash The canteen ladies have requested that all students place their lunch orders in before 9am at the canteen

in order to ensure all orders are ready for 11am Thank you for your assistance

Volunteers Wanted - Anyone wishing to volunteer in Term 3 (for even just one hour in the mornings) come and see us in

the canteen

FLEXISCHOOLS ON-LINE Ordering - It will take the hassle out of lunch orders With Flexi Schools you wonrsquot be looking

for paper bags or change for your lunch orders anymore You can place your orders at your own convenience Go online and check out the website wwwflexischoolscomau Go cashless with your childrenrsquos lunch orders Why not give it a

be analysing responses over the holidays There will be changes to some items on the school canteen menu

for Term 3 so that the Canteen is in line with the School Healthy Canteen Guidelines but please note that

some changes will be made over time
