innacle created the 3D Model of Ballpark of the PPalm Beaches - an under-construction baseball stadium located in West Palm Beach, Florida

and was also responsible for coordination of the Electrical Services. The completion of stadium construction is planned for Spring of 2017 and the facility is designed to hold 6,500 fixed seats, and 1,000 more on the outfield berm. The stadium is expected to host two Major League Baseball teams annually for spring training beginning in 2017 - the Houston Astros and Washington Nationals. The Astros clubhouse will be located on the north side of the complex and the Nationals will be on the south side. The construction cost of the project is around $148.6 Million.

Scope of Work

Our scope of work for the project included 3D Modeling of Electrical Equipment, Coordination and Constructability Analysis. Virtual Construction of the project in BIM enabled independent review of the constructability issues. We have highlighted discrepancies in drawings and inadequate information at the preconstruction stage through RFIs, accompanied with proposed solutions.

We have successfully completed the 3D Models and Coordination of the Stadium, undergoing thorough checking for design discrepancies, adherence to codes, constructability and coordination issues. We have resolved clashes like Cable Tray clashing with other services. We have run conduit above footing and routed utilities to avoid elevator pit. Our Electrical BIM Models contained all information required for speedy and error free erection and our electrical coordination ensured fast and error free construction, reducing field generated change orders and rework.
