Friends Forever Poster

MISE-EN-SCENE

The poster shows a close up of what we would assume to be the main protagonist in the film. The faint shadow of the young girl in the eye in the close up makes the audience think that something could have happened to her, intriguing audience and making them ask questions as to why it is there. This creates the horror atmosphere just from looking at the poster. As there is very little text on the poster this shifts the main focus onto the image of the young female character showing that she will play a significant role within the film.

TEXT AND FONT

The poster does not contain that much text on it, only the crucial and needed information is included to provide some detail for the audience. The title of the film, the name of the main actor in the film, the tag line ‘Do you believe in ghosts?’ and the main characters names. As there is hardly any detail on the poster this also emphasises the fact that there is something spooky about the film as it is not wanting to let the audience know too much about the film. By using the same font for all of the text, which looks like it has been scratched on, it adds continuity throughout the poster and a brand identity for the film itself.

COLOUR SCHEME

The colour scheme for the poster is very basic , different shades of grey, blacks and white. These colours have connotations of something mysterious and evil, which is creating the horror theme throughout the production. The only use of colour is the faint shadow of the girl in the main girl’s eye. This is used to show that she is different from the main girl, not necessarily meaning that she is good. She is wearing red which also has connotations to evil.
