About Me: Exercise addiction is caused by different things. Many eating disorders, like exercise addiction, are caused by psychological issues. For example, a person might be a perfectionist. Perfectionists think that nothing they do is ever good enough, and always try to please people. They often don’t know how to deal with their feelings. So, instead of coping in a healthful way, they turn to addictive behaviors like excessive exercise. Exercise addition can also be caused by family factors, like instability at home. It can be scary when a teen’s parents are getting divorced or they are facing abuse. They often feel like they have no control over what is happening to them. By exercising excessively, they are trying to regain a feeling of control over their lives.

Occupation: Impressionist Painter
Education: Le Havre secondary school of the arts;
Languages: French
About Me: I’m one of the most influential Impressionist artist. I studied under a lot of other famous painters, but was probably most influenced by Manet. In the beginning, my work was very unusual because my focus on unconventional compositions and bold colors was a big change from the Realist style popular at the time. I love to watch the way light hits different objects and the way colors change depending on the sun and the time of day. I’m inspired by anything outdoors, but I especially love to garden. Water Lilies are one of my favorite things. My personal life hasn’t always been easy. I was very poor at points, and both my wives, Camille and Alice, died before me. I also lost my son, Jean. I hope I can inspire other painters to explore a more abstract style of work.
Activities: Busy painting: Sunrise, Impression; Water Lilies; Oat and Poppy Field; Post-Goulphar; Charing Cross Bridge
Interests: I love nature, esp. watching the light! Gardening is the best, too!
Favorite Music: In the Light, by Led Zepplin (I’m all about anything with light!)
Favorite TV Shows: Rebecca’s Garden (I’m always looking for inspiration for my own gardens)
Favorite Books: The Master Book of the Water Garden (One of my favorites! I used it to get ideas for my own water gardens at Giverny).
