ASSIGNMENT 2 – Exterior Material Display Board

This assignment is to be an individual effort, created as a material presentation board, for your client.

This is an individual assignment with a focus on producing a display board for an exterior construction material or a construction system forming part of the building envelope found in the residential construction industry. All submissions to be: ● Individual submission ● Display board to be 15"x20" foam-core board material only ● Your name and student # must appear on the front of the board (lower right corner) Display board must have 1 theme only, could be a material or a system, as signed up for in class. Display board to have hand drawn sketch(es), details to emphasis the board's theme. All writing on the board is to be hand printed only (photocopied or printed material including photos will not be accepted), and must explain: ● What the system/ product or material is, and ● How it works, is installed and what its function is Your real challenge is that viewer's attention will be 30 seconds maximum. Your board should capture the viewer's eye with the printing on the display board being informative but kept to a minimum (Point form is also acceptable).

Note: Hand drawn sketch or detail, as well as the hand printed portion must be directly on the board and not on pages attached/glued to the board. Theme materials/ samples only, to be attached to the board where applicable, to help explain the purpose of the board. Submission Due Date: Refer to the Course Syllabus on SLATE. Evaluation Criteria: ● Instructions followed ● Professionally organized and presented ● Visually appealing ● Title of the board eye catching ● How well the sketch illustrates the theme ● Printing neatness, clarity and presentation ● How well the printed portion explains the board's theme ● Does the board make the viewer want to stop longer than 30 seconds and read the
