BACKGROUND The Tower of Pisa was built to show the rest of the world the

wealth of the city of Pisa it took about 199 years to complete It began leaning 5 years after construction began, but was so

expensive to build that destroying it and starting over was never seriously considered

Building stopped for nearly a century because of wars architects built walls on the leaning side higher than the walls

on the other side, This made the Tower of Pisa look oddly curved and the tower began to straighten out

It was built between the years 1173-1900 took 800 years … Located in Campo dei Miracoli The person who built the tower or who had to do with the

construction is Bonanno Pisano … hence Pisa … Giovanni Di Simone did 4 floors . Alessandro Della Gherardesca increased the value of the tower . Benito Mussolini tries to stabilize the tower …

PURPOSE The purpose for the tower being built

was to show the wealth the town had … Its a bell tower. It holds bells for the

nearby church It is said that the tower is a testament to

solid design and advanced architecture …

MATH I couldn’t find the exact math used but

the measurement YEAH!!!!! (: The height of the tower is 55.86 meters The width of the walls at the base is

4.09 meters Its weight is estimated at 14,500 tons. The tower has 294 steps

MY OPINION … I THINK THIS BUILDING IS AHMAZING …

(: BECAUSE OF THE FACT THAT IT LOOKS LIKE IT’S GOING TO FALL ON TOP OF YOU … AND ALSO ITS ONE OF THE SEVEN WONDERS OF THE WORLD … GO PISA … OH AND IT SOUNDS LIKE PIZZA …
