What I am a mathematics major at Indiana University East. I also have a passion for music. I have many hobbies including playing piano, singing, reading, lifting weights, volleyball, acting, running, and yoga. I also have two dogs, one named Beau, he is a teacup Chihuahua, and one named Honey Bear, he is a Pomeranian. Why I am a mathematics major because ever since the 6th grade math has been my favorite sub- ject. I love numbers, equations, and problem solving. I figured since I enjoy math so much, and because math will always be needed, I should major in it. So far, I am very pleased with my choice. When All the way back in 6th grade when my love for math began, I was obvi- ously just a young girl with dreams of becoming a famous singer or an ac- tress, dreams similar to every other young child. Fortunately, as the years went on, and the time came to start thinking about jobs and careers, my dreams of being in the spotlight were subdued. However, as the years passed, my passion for math continued to grow. Through the years of algebra one all the way to calculus, each year my desire to learn more about these num- bers and equations grew. This passion is what helped me make the decision to declare a mathematics major. I later on wish to obtain my master's degree in mathematics, and after that I hope to earn my doctorate degree in mathe- matics as well. Where I am originally from Gratis, Ohio and I went to a small school named Preble Shawnee. I went to that school my entire life, never once moving. That is, until it was time for college. I now live in an apart- ment here in Richmond, and as mentioned before I attend Indiana University East to obtain my bache- lor's degree How Study hard, give my all every semester, never give up, ask questions, get help when need- ed, and above all, have fun.
