This visit occurred during what Global News described as “an extendedsabbatical” during summer on Salt Spring Island, where Mr. Martin does notlive.

The Parliament of Canada’s Member’s expenditure report for 2014-15 showthat on July 4, 2014, Pat Martin spent $84.08 with three guests at “The BeachHouse” in Vancouver, and on July 11, 2014, he spent $284.44 at “TheLaughing Oyster” in Powell River with three guests to “celebrate a significantevent”.

Both restaurants are in the province of British Columbia, as is Salt SpringIsland, where Pat Martin does not live.

When Pat Martin says he does not live on Saltspring Island, British Columbia,we take him at his word.
