Our Story

Living in San Francisco, we realized that it is other San Franciscans who we most share our lives with--we go to the same events, care about the same news,

and together create a local culture.

Our goal is to make Stampur a geographic network for sharing news, photos, and events, to create a real time snap shot of your town.

We want to make cities smart and interconnected.

Problem

STAMPUR www.stampur.com1/10The network for locals

Local communication has not developed much past community bulletin boards, broadcast news, and online classi!eds. People want to know what is happening in their city, their neighborhood, and right on their block. More e"ective communication will enrich people’s social lives, make more e#cientcities, and provide a sense of empowerment to the everyday person.

Why Now?

STAMPUR www.stampur.com1/10The network for locals

Before social networks, most friends communicated online through email, blogs, and photo sharing sites. The early social networks grabbed millions of users by simply consolidating these functions . The same opportunity exists today for local networking, as communication is fragmented across dozens of media.

STAMPUR www.stampur.com1/10The network for locals

Local Advertising

Post anouncements, deals, and specials in real time with a simplepaye-per-click model.

Targeted Demographics

The stamps that a user collectsrepresents his interests, friends, location, and more.

Free appetizers, for the next hour only!

1.1 Billion gobal mobile users, and counting.*

3 trillion dollars of in store retail sales this last year.**Retailers rely on !yers, signage, and location to attractthese dollars.

Local commerce is a part of the Stampur user experience . Other services must overlay local ads at the detriment to the user experience.

US online ad spending was $40 billion in 2012***

When forming an ad campaign through Google or Facebook, there is ambiguity to what kind of users you actually reach. Our users self select their interests by collecting stamps.

Execution

STAMPUR www.stampur.com1/10The network for locals

A single user post on Stampur can be relevant to an entire city We can seed each new location by aggregating local news, events, and content from other social networks.

We are near completionon both an Android appand our website. We willcomlete both products, and build an iPhone appover the next 6-12 months.

ContentProduct Tra!cWe have been testing our website inthe UC Santa Barbara community, and have found that leveraging our own networks, and networks of our early adopters, is most e!ective in promotingStampur.

We also hold fun local events in the spirit of Stampur, like neighborhood competitions (SOMA vs. Mission trivia nights).
