Obispos de EE.UU. alertan sobren aumento de racismo contra hispanos Los obispos católicos de Estados Unidos alertaron sobre el “grave” aumento del racismo en “la sociedad, el discurso público y las redes sociales” contra las minorías, especialmente los latinos, los afroamericanos y las comunidades y las comunidades indígenas estadounidenses. Reunidos en la asamblea anual de la Conferencia de Obispos Católicos de Estados Unidos (USCCB, por su sigla en inglés), celebrada desde el miércoles 13 de Junio en Fort Lauderdale (Florida), los prelados “condenaron” el racismo. Los obispos discutieron incluir esas preocupaciones en una “carta pastoral” que someterán a votación en su reunión de noviembre próximo para crear consciencia de esta “crítica problemática” que “afecta las instituciones y la políticas públicas. El obispo Sheldon J. Fabre, presidente del Comité contra el racismo, aseguró que “los hispanos están sien-do blanco de lenguaje y actos racistas” La idea es implementar en diócesis y parroquias la carta pastoral, que busca crear conciencia sobre el impacto del racismo “en todas” las personas y asistir a pastores, educadores, familias e individuos para enfrentarlo. Los obispos almorzaron con niños inmigrantes y beneficiarios de asilo como también del Estatus de Pro-tección Temporal (TPS) y la Acción Diferida (DACA), alivios migratorios que están en el limbo durante la Administración de Donald Trump. US Bishops warn of an increase in racism against Hispanics

The Catholic bishops of the United States warned about the "serious" increase in racism in "society, public discourse and social networks" against minorities, especially Latinos, African-Americans and communi-ties and indigenous American communities. Meeting at the annual meeting of the United States Confer-ence of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), held since Wednesday, June 13 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, prelates "condemned" racism. Para Comprometerse La violencia contra las mujeres: Problema social, político y eclesial Por ello la sentencia de Gn 3,16: <<a la mujer le dijo: Multiplicaré tus sufrimientos en los em-barazos. Con dolor darás a luz a tus hijos, necesitarás de tu marido, y él te dominará>>, que hace referencia a una consecuencia del pecado original y no al orden original de la Creación, y otros textos similares( Jr 20,7; Gn 19,4, Jue 10,34-39..) producen extrañeza y perplejidad, y no podemos dejar de preguntarnos con Pepa Torres <<Cómo en nombre de Dios se ha podido y se puede ligitimar la violencia contra las mujeres, o entrar en complicidad con ella, en lugar de denunciar y deslegitimar a sus victimarios?>> Hoy emerge una nueva mirada que ve en esa violencia un escándalo y la deslegitima; percibe que es una continuidad, porque sus causas y, en concreto su causa última el patriarcado, per-manece. De ser cierta esta nueva mirada sería un importante signo de los tiempos, en sintonía con el Evangelio, que nos descubre a un Jesús de Nazaret que es Buena Noticia de la liberación para las mujeres. En efecto , Jesús anuncia una comunidad de iguales: << Ya no se distinguen judío y griego, es-clavo y libre, hombre y mujer, pues con el Mesías Jesús todos sois uno>> (Gal 3,28); igualdad no solo teórica, como queda patente en muchos textos en los que Jesús se posiciona activamente a favor de las mujeres, desde una actitud profundamente humanizadora, resumida en Mc 1,31, la curación de la suegra de Pedro, cuando Jesús para recuperar a los seres humanos que están deshumanizados y a mujeres víctimas del sistema patriarcal. En otros textos vemos como rom-pe con los tabús contra las mujeres, como en la curación de la hemorroísa (Mc) 5,25-34) texto importante que muestra la actitud positiva de Jesús frente a la corporeidad femenina, o como las reconoce como discípulas y testigos privilegiadas de la resurrección (Lc 8,1-5; Lc 10,38-42). —————————————————————————————————————————————————— Violence against women: Social, political and ecclesial problems Therefore the sentence in Gn 3,16: << to the woman he said: I will make your pains in childbearing very severe, with painful labor you will give birth to children. In other texts we see how it breaks taboos against women, as in the healing of the bleeding woman (Mk) 5,25-34) important text that shows the positive attitude of Jesus against female corporeity, or how he recognizes them as disciples and privileged witnesses of the resurrection (Lk 8,1-5; Lk 10,38-42).
