Eden Rooms

• The Eden Parkland Facing Bedrooms are an extremely spacious and luxuriously-appointed “home from home”. You won’t forget that you are in the majestic homeland that is Scotland, with the earthy, neutral tones of cream and brown, delightfully spiced up with the signature red that is used throughout the resort.

• The use of tactile textures are a reminder of Scotland’s rich heritage in the textile industry, with silk curtains, velvet furniture and a 100% plaid wool throw – designed by Monsieur Jacques Garcia no less – on the end of the bed. Most of our guests are immediately drawn towards the window - for this is one of the most spectacular views in the world – and find they spend much of their time rooted to this spot.

• For those who do manage to draw themselves away, this bird’s eye view of the world’s most famous golf course is offset with earthy, neutral tones of cream and brown, delightfully spiced up with the signature red that is used throughout the resort.

The eminent French designer Jacques Garcia (of Hôtel Costes, Paris and Hôtel Metropole, Monte Carlo fame) has gone to town with these suites and you may think more Moulin Rouge than traditional golf resort, which is just one of the reasons why the Old Course Hotel is so utterly unique.

• The red, double-arched entrance with marble floor sets the tone – expect to gasp in surprise as you enter a truly luxurious and highly opulent suite. The suites are decked out in ravishing red, with dashes of cream and white – and a sumptuous splash of black. Imagine gloriously tactile fabrics, eye-catching detail, glamorous touches, a sense of splendour and fabulous finishes tempered by the joy of real comfort with the backdrop of the world’s most famous golf course.

The Jigger Inn

• Golf’s most famous 19th Hole. This historic building is steeped in history. It dates back to the 1850s, when it was the station master’s lodge and the history and heritage live on. Today, The Jigger Inn is home to golfing memorabilia, crackling open-hearth fires, home-cooked food and a superb selection of Scottish beers – this is traditional Scottish pub hospitality at its very best. Fondly referred to as ‘the towns best 19th hole’ and much loved by the many celebrities who visit.

• The Belhaven Brewery was charged by Herbert V Kohler, owner of the Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa and The Jigger Inn, with the task of creating a brew in the style of a classic Scottish Ale that would be as unique as The Jigger Inn itself and available for consumption only within the pub’s ancient walls.

• The pub’s own ‘Jigger Ale’ is available at both The Jigger Inn, St Andrews and at The Horse and Plough at the resort’s sister resort, the Forbes Five Star-awarded American Club, Kohler, Wisconsin.
