Mission Our mission is to prepare children to excel in all the spheres of lifeWe are committed to provide a secure focused learning and sustainable environment for children who will go out into the world and make us &their parents feel Proud. An education which aims at fostering Physical emotional & mentalPersonality of every child. To develop positive attitude towards protection of environment natural resources and richculture heritage. Staff (SRS faculty) The faculty of SRS comprises of well qualified, learned and empathetic teachers with a desire to share the love of their subject with the students. We are fortunate to have with us a faculty of teachers which is ever eager to improvise and adapt to new challenges and demands to bring out the best in their students. Creativity and innovation are the benchmarks in the field of Pedagogy, and we continuously strive to incorporate it. This year being at home, the studentsplanted saplings in and their houses. The school also has some other facilities like (i) Segregation and proper disposal of waste (ii) The school uses SOLAR ENERGY, which is pollution free and causes no greenhouse effect, It also reduces our country dependence on foreign oil and fossil fuels.

Environmental Education

it) The school has a green look with a lot of plantations all around and promotes plantation on

various occasions.

Parent Teacher Association

A General body meeting of parents is held on a regular basisfor the -year 2020-21. Parents provide

the valuable feedback and suggestions to the teachers and teachers inreturn provide them with

academic work done and changes made in school for improvement. The PTA is agroup of closely knit

individual who work together for the betterment of the students. We thank andcongratulate them

for their continuous support and cooperation

Academic Activities

Competitions and academic activities encourage and foster a healthy and competitive spirit. The

activitiesare conducted at classroom level, school level and interhouse level. Some of them are

essay, speech, handwriting, slogan writing competitions. Poetry recitation, story writing, English and

Hindi debate and elocution, G.K, Science and Maths Quiz werealso conducted.This year the

competitions were conducted in online mode like summer camps, singing competition, dance

competition etc.

Value based education and life skills training is imparted so as to make the students morally and

sociallylearned individuals.

Training, Seminars, Orientation and Counselling

Every academic year training, seminars and orientation programmes are conducted for teachers and

studentsto improve and implement innovative ideas in teaching learning practices as well as to take

the studentsbeyond their current level of learning.

This year too teachers participated in various online trainingson DIKSHA APP as well as from other

publication houses. Online Counselling for the students was also done.

Co-Curricular and Extra Curricular Activities

Every activity in _chool life plays a significant role in a child's development. Co-curricular activities

are anessential part of school life as they help to enhance the learning process of the students

Through theseactivities, we strive to bring in social skills, intellectual skills, moral values, personality

progress andcharacter appeal in our students.

Some of these events are Card making, Poster making, Best out of waste, Dance competitions etc.

Games and Sports Competitions

t's hard to beat a person who never gives up. We at SRS instil in individuals the calibre to with stand

thedifferent challenges that life offers, which makes them physically and mentally fit

In order to foster the values of national integration, international understanding, religions and

Culturalawareness and tolerance various national, religions and cultural festivals were celebrated in

an online modethis year National Festivals: Independence Day, Republic Day, Gandhi Jayanti, Shahid Diwas were

celebratedthrough zoom class Assemblies talks by teachers and different competitions.

Religious Festivals: All religious festivals like Holi, Diwali, Eid, Dussehra, Buddha Purnima, Good Friday, Guru Nanak Jayanti etc were again celebrated in an Online mode where students belonging to differentfaiths participated enthusiastically.

Educational Tours and field Trips

Learning by doing is a great way to learn but this year the tours and trips had to be skipped due to theCOVID-19 pandemic.

Online Study during COvID-19

This session saw a switch from regular classes in the school to Online classes at home. As a result, educationhas changed dramatically whereby teaching is being done through different digital platforms.

At SRS, teachers and students were regularly in contact through Zoom platform and WhatsApp. Regularonline classes were conducted.

Apart from this video made by the teachers themselves are being sent to students who were unable

to attendthe classes. Homework was sent in the form of PDF's.

Both students and teachers adjusted themselves to the new ways of learning & teaching. SMC Activities

Due to Covid-19 situation student's education has been badly impacted. Various steps taken by school toprovide an effective education in these challenging time like Zoom classes, online sending of work via PDFfiles, coordination with students and parents through What's App groups. It was

decided to strictly follow allthe norms and guidelines regarding covid-19 pandemic issued by the

Govt. for school and staff. School hasadopted a compassionate and lenient view towards the fee and

50% discounts was announced for the parent's ease.School management has decided not to

increase the school fee for the next academic session as well keepingin mind the effect of pandemic on the parents. To increase the student's participation in the online classesand effective to ways to

conduct the assessments for the current situation. Many fold increase has been donein the online

co-curricular and extracurricular activities for the students.

Conclusion

Iconclude by assuring that even though our students engaged themselves in various co-curricular and lifeskills activities, still top priority is given to academic performance. Remedial teaching, extra

classes,revision, unit tests, class tests, assignments, term-end exams have kept them busy throughout the year.

I render thanks to our Management, teaching and non-teaching staff students and parents who gave

us their maximum support and cooperation.
