The goal of the app is to let users view and track the 17 goals the UN has set to achieve by 2030for Sustainable Development.

The extended visibility of UN goals and missions also acts as a tactic for the UN to keep its promises. By allowing users to view live the updates on their progress, people are more informed as to what the UN has achieved.

The UN promoted the launch of its new app during the Global Citizens Festival in New York.

They also release a few short cartoon style videos featuring pop culture events the partners hope will resonate with a younger audience.

The app was launched in coordination with ProjectEveryone, a global nonprofit campaign dedicated to make the world aware of the goals to combat poverty, inequality, injustice and climate change by 2030.

The campaign is highlighted by a microsite at https://www.project-everyone.org/ outlining the achievements of the project to date.

The app features latest development news from around the world, allowing users to like and share content and updates. Users can also upload their own video content.

Users can also customize their experiences by choosing to sign up to receive updates on progress and news.

Project Everyone founder Richard Curtis describes the mission of the app being “to give everyone, everywhere, the opportunity to share with both their friends and world leaders, what they want and how they themselves are taking an action to make it happen.”
