2006 Studio 3 - Bionics.BIOCRUTCH

Design of crutches for orthopedic support based on theanalysis of the rabbit's jaw joint. The product has a jointand a shock absorber which absorbs the impact andprovides an impulse to the user to achieve a greaterdistance in each step. Variable height to fit the user'sgender and height.

2008 Studio 6 - Pliability.ZELASILLA

Design and lightweightfolding chair, developedfor use by people who intheir line of work requirestanding for long periodsof time. The chair allowsthe user to keep a semi-sitting position withoutaffecting the visual heightand maintaining environmental control. The positionprevents vascular lesions in the legs. Aluminumconstruction and waterproof canvas, with adjustableheight to suit conditions and height of users.

2008 Studio 7 – Design for health..BALANCEO 7th semester Final Project. Health

Post traumatic and sport training sliding and rotatingsurface. helps the user to strenghten the muscles,joints and bones from legs, feet, and hips. the designincluided a feedback analog display with a lyberinth,and bubble level, that allows the user to interacteasily and set diferent levels of dificulty on theexercise.This prototype was tested in several orthopedicalhealth institutions and serve to the recovery of at least3 patientsPublished on IberDiscap 2008 . Sincom (Sistema Industrializado Construccion Modular)“Industrialized modular constructive system”. Autoconstructive modular housing building system, based onautonomous and specific components, developed to bemainly used on emergency housing and social interesthousing. All components are low cost and structurecomposition is simple and efficient reducing its vulnerability.The project is both structured on Industrial Design andArchitecture principles that permit creating a useful coherentspacial order for bein inhabited and the advantages of a fastand easy to develope building sytem with coherencybetween elements that can be widely variable andrecyclable on its lifetime. Honoured project, was chosen bythe departmento for participating in Otto de Greiff Contestthat awards the best academic thesis projects. It allsoparticipated on Crea PVC award where was chosen to bepart of the finals.

2009. “Optimización de puesto de trabajo paraniños con parálisis cerebral”

Chair designed for children with brain paralisis, ithelps to improve the sitting posture and avoidthis persons to develop problems like scoliosis.The reaserch started designing and buildingthe shape of the sitting and back support andtesting the models with kids from diferentinstitutions that evaluate the use of the system.its dimension must be adjustable so it got to fitto kids from 4 to 8 years.Reaserch director Monica Gonzalez.

Urban furniture design for Districtal planning department,3 project design and development. 20101 Cover expansions for street vendor existing modules in Bogotá city. Los Andes University design Department was called togive an economical and easy to install solution that increases the cover of this modules.2 Flowers and Magazines Street Vendor selling module, modules were disposed to maximize the exhibition area and let thevendor be able of checking and attending the customers. could be safely closed at night and work an urban Lighthousedone on stainless steel. the accesories were replaced easily to allow selling diferent types of products.3 Refugee houses for attending an eventual city catastrophe. This project intended to design a modular habitat that couldbe set in parks or large open area spaces and eventually could be used as a refugee, this structures could be stacked inlarge amounts and can also have diferent uses like small markets places or even gaming zones.

Andino Shopping Center Christmas Decoration 2010

Hanging mobile design with the abstraction of pre-Columbian local figures of animals, human andcultural icons as the Christmas decoration issue, for placing into one of the main spaces of the shoppingcenter in an area of 600 square meters and 3 floors height, totally were produced more than 1500 figuresrepresenting 15 different shapes, as this was dedicated for the kids mostly there were produced 6000masks and crowns with the pre-Columbian icons.

Metalform 2010 – 2011

Design and development of furniture and accesories for home and office.Concept based on sustainability and maximoum utilization of material, all pieces are cutted andbended to transform the metal sheet and turn it into a volumetric product that involves some artisticfeatures of composition and shape. Some of the products are tables, chairs, magazine holders, clocks,clothe rack, pencil holder etc. Currently are sold in some design shops in Bogotá.
