Don’t ever agree to get together with someone you meet online without checking with your parents.

Don’t ever send a person your picture or anything else without first checking with your parents.

Tell your parents right away if you come across any info that makes you feel uncomfortable.

RESPECT OTHERS

You will be a good online citizen and not do anything that hurts other people or is against the law.

Do not respond to any messages that are mean or in any way make me feel uncomfortable . It is not your fault if you get a message like that . If you do, tell your parents right away so that they can contact the service provider.

PASSWORD RULES

You will not give out my Internet password to anyone [even your best friends] other than your parents.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Never give out personal information such as your address, phone number, parent’s work address, telephone number, or the name and location of my school without my parent’s permission.

HAVE FUN PARENTS

You should help your parents understand how to have fun and learn things online and teach them things about the internet, computers and other technology.

Talk with your parents so that you can set rules for going online. You should decide upon the time of that you can be online, the length of time you can be online and appropriate areas for you to visit. Do not access other areas or break these rules without their permission.
