The evening was well attended Rotarians and Honorary Rotarians accompanied by most

partners numbering 40 in total.

Also attending were past exchange student Laura Douglas and her mother Kay.

Honorary Rotarians in no particular order were , Neville and Maureen Robertson, Brian

and Pat Cooper , Bill and Nola Olsen and Gary Scott .Great to see them all again.

We cannot forget to mention for the third last time our inbound exchange student Marion

de Quillacq who will be addressing us later in the proceedings. President Debbie welcomed

all to the dinner and then proposed the toast to Australia.

Debbie introduced all of our guests , especially our Assistant DG Patricia Canning and Her

Husband Trevor.

Introduction of Inner wheel President Pat Cooper and District Governor OF Inner wheel

Mrs Jan Duffy.

Rotary International. A toast to International was proposed by Rotarian Rebecca Williams

Toast to Partners and Guests was Proposed by President elect Andy Anderson.

President Address:

Debbie gave us a run down of her past year and listed off

all of the fundraisers and projects we were involved in

over the year. Told us where the funds came from and

what projects were funded with a fair slice going over seas

and to youth focus, Belgrade village and School projects.

Raffle was run drawn and winners were:

1st Prize of a box of fresh Fruit kindly donated by Rotarian Graeme Smith won by Pat

Cooper

2nd Prize , Bottle of wine left behind won by Rotarian Phil Cousins

3rd Prize of red wine found in back of cupboard won by Margaret Bradshaw.

Exchange student Marion gave her farewell speech which was quite moving.

She thanked all of the people who had made this dream possible.

Special thanks goes out to her host parents and to all who invited her to their homes and

out for meals.

She was not too good on the English upon arrival but has since mastered the language.

She was very timid and quite scared when she first arrived but soon settled down when

she got to know a few people and grew in confidence. Meeting the other students definitely

helped.

She will always hold Wanneroo in her heart and thanked the club for making it possible .

The best year of her life.

Change over ceremony where both President elect Norm and Sgt Phil were handed their

batons.

President Norm again outlined his plan to change things up a little in relation to our dinner

meetings.

Sgt Phil wasted no time in getting into it and hit poor Essendon supporter O between the

eyes.
