Moving plans went p re t ty much according to schedule, except tookan extra couple of days to get the packing and loading done. e f inal ly saidgoodtye to Urbana H I , August 18th, After a short stop i n Lincoln, H I tosay goodbye to fr iends there , we headed West, Charles an d I (Wil li am) s ha re dthe driving, taking turns in the U-Haul truck and sta t ion wagon. After onenight on th e road we reached Hays l a t e afternoon on the 19th , Our newhouse was aH cleaned and ready for us to move r ight in .

Then everything seemed to rush on us a t once; unpacking enrollingthe boys in school arranging our coHege schedule and enrollment and aH theother l i t t le things connected with getting sett led in a new community. Buti t has aH led to our enjoying l i f e here in Hays very much. The boys l ikethe smaller schools and small-town atmosphere. They a re ac tiv e in the youthgroup a t church, too. Jean and I are both enrolled in coHege, 1:^ 18 hourload o f d ra ft in g, woodwork, math science, and history i s Just about morethan I can handle , Next semester I in tend to take a few hours l e s s an d not

Spealcing of Jean reminds me tha t she i s getting around almost normally in recent weeks. The leg i s healing in fine shape and she is evenwearing shoes again. Sometimes I can hardly detect a limp. Except for faH-ing a couple of times again she i s getting along woH.

e enjoy the let ters you send and are very grateful for your fa i th-f inanc ia l support. Without we would not be able to continue our studies
