“Thursday with It Girl”

Page 4: Rizal Resume

When I was a kid, I don't want to sleep in the afternoon, so my mom always

threatened me that if I didn’t sleep in the afternoon, fat clown with a super

big nose and with a creepy laugh will get me and put me in a sack and will

throw me into the bridge. Also my brother teased me about the movie

entitled "It" which also about the clown who captures little kid. Every now

and then, I am too afraid to go to party with a clown or to watch movie Like V

for vendetta because of the creepy mask. If there's clown, I don't want to go

to that certain party. Every children's party that I was invited, I'll check first if

there is a clown. One time, I asked my mom if there is a clown in the 7th

birthday party of my cousin, she lied to me because my mom told me that

there is no clown but unfortunately there is. I cried so hard. I scream like a

angry lion when I saw the freaking clown. I tried to face my phobia, I did my

best to try to look at the images of clown or to watch movie, but sadly I really

can’t stand it. I really look like a pathetic little girl when my friends fooled or

teased me regarding the picture of clown. One of my friends tagged me in a

picture of clown, I asked my cousin for help to untag the picture because I

can’t look straight at the monitor because I imagined already the face and

big nose of the clown.

Now, I am already in college. I always go to happy Thursday and one of the

reason why is because I missed a lot of parties when I was a kid. There is no

clown now instead, a wild dancing crowd trying to live there life while there

young.

I hope that someday my phobia will disappear like a bubble or a cloud. I

don’t want to be trap in this fear. I really need to face it like an everyday

problem. Wish me luck! Thank you very much.
