STEP 1-PlacethefourCylindricalNutsA(M6 Nut)intotheholesintheStandLegs,withthescrewdriverslotfacingout.UseascrewdrivertoalignthethreadsinthenutswiththeopeningsonthebottomoftheStandLegs.

STEP 2-PlacethedowelsinthefeetintotheappropriateholesinthebottomoftheStandLegs.Makesurethatthefeetarefacingawayfromthebackpanelbracketasshownbelow.ThreadtwoFootBoltsB(M6X55)throughthefootandintothecylindricalwashers,rotatingthewashertoalignifneeded.Firmlytighten&repeatfortheotherside.

STEP 3-Attachthepianobasetotheleftandrightlegs,andsecureusingfourC(M6X16)screws.
STEP 4-ScrewthefourbracketsD(ST4X12)intothepianobasebyfollowingthepre-drilledholes.
Thebracketshouldbefacingthefrontofthepiano,withthescrewsfacingthebackofthepiano.

STEP 5-Screwthemodestlypanelintothebracketsandlegsusingthepre-drilledholesandincludedscrewswithwashersE(M4X10).
Thevanityboardshouldbeonthefrontsideofthebrackets,andscrewsshouldenterthroughthefrontsideofthepiano.
STEP 6 -Placethemainpianosectionontopofthelegs.
LocatethetwolargescrewsF (M6X20) onthebottomofthepianoconsole,locatedtowardtherear.SliptheseprotrudingscrewsintotheU-shapedbracketstowardtherearofthestand.UseoneF (M6X20)screwtosecureeachfrontbracket.Tightenall4screws.

Powering on Rhapsody IIIPressthePOWERbuttonintheupperlefthandcornerofthefrontpanel.TheLEDlightinthebuttonwillstayonwhenthepianoison.Thisproducthasapowerstandbymode.Ifthepianoturnsoffwhileyouarenotplayingit,thisislikelyduetothePowermodebeingsettoAutoPoweroff.Toturnoffthisfunction,holdtheFunctionbuttonandpressF#2onthekeyboard(belowmiddleC).ThepianowillautomaticallyplaymiddleCtwicetoconfirmyourselection.

To Change Piano TuningYoumayneedtoadjustthetuningofthepianobyafewcentstomatchanacousticinstrumentorrecording.Todothis,holdtheTransposebuttonandpresstheValue+orValue–buttons.
EFFECTS
TheReverb,ChorusandModFXeffectsmaybeappliedtoeachvoiceindividuallyandwillberetainedevenwhenthepoweristurnedoff.
Toapplytheseeffects,presstheassociatedbutton.Thebuttonwilllightandtheeffectwillbeheardwhenthepianoisplayed.

MODFX
Modulationeffectsaredesignedtoadduniqueplayablesoundeffectstovoices.
Inadditiontothesounds,theRhapsodyIIIhasaneweffectssectionthatwillallowuserstohavemorecontrolovertheirsoundscalledModFX.
TheseneweffectswillbeinsertedintotheaudiopathwayofthesoundtothemixerandwillbepresetintothePatch.Whenyouswitchonthespecificpatchapreseteffectwillbeassociatedwiththesound.Youcanthenselectwhethertheeffectshouldbeturnedofformodified.TheModFXAre:

To Change The Tremolo Depth:Toadjustthetremolodepth,holdtheModFXbuttonandpresstheValue+orValue–buttons.

ADVANCED FUNCTIONS
BLUETOOTH
AudioTheRhapsodyIIIiscapableofwirelessconnectiontopersonaldevicesviaBluetooth.Whenadeviceispaired,musiccanbeplayedthroughthepiano’sspeakers.Toconnectthepianotoyourtablet,smartphone,orcomputer:
1. PresstheBluetoothbutton.Ifyouhavenotyetpairedadevice,theLEDwillflashquickly.
2. FromtheBluetoothmenuonyoursourcedevice,selecttheRhapsodyIII.
3. TheBluetoothbuttonLEDshouldstopflashingonceitispairedwithadevice.
MIDITheRhapsodyIIIincludesBluetoothwirelessMIDIforconnectiontoappsliketheWilliamsAppforiOS.Toconnectthepianotoyourtablet,smartphone,orcomputer:
1. PresstheBluetoothbutton.Ifyouhavenotyetpairedadevice,theLEDwillflashquickly.
2. OpentheBluetoothMIDIsettingsinyourappandselecttheRhapsodyIII.
Note: Bluetooth MIDI is not configured in the Settings of your device like Bluetooth Audio. If your app supports Bluetooth MIDI, there should be a method to set this up in the app.
3. TheBluetoothbuttonLEDshouldstopflashingonceitispairedwithadevice.
TodisableBluetooth,pressthebuttonagainsothattheLEDswitchesoff.BluetoothMIDIallowsyoutoconnectwithpianolearningappsonavarietyofdevices.
NOTE: Bluetooth Audio and MIDI can NOT be used simultaneously.
Auto Power SaveTheRhapsodyIIIhasaPowersavingfunctionthatwillshutoffthePianoafter30minutesofnon-use.ThedefaultsettingisOff,howeverif
youfindyouwantthisfunctiontoworkusethestepsbelow.
1. PressandholdtheFunctionbutton.
2. PresstheF#2key(F#belowmiddleC)
Factory ResetPerformingaFactoryResetwillclearallbatterybackedmemoryandrestoreallfunctionstofactorydefaults.
1. TurnthePowerOff.
2. Pressandholdtheoctaveandtransposebuttons.
3. TurnthePoweron.AlloftheLEDswilllightuptoshowthatthepianohasbeenreset.
Touch SensitivityYoucanchangethewaythekeyboardreactstoyourplayingbyadjustingtheVelocitycurvesettings.
1. PressandholdtheFunctionbutton.
2. PressF#1,G#1,A#1,orC#2toselectbetweenLow,Normal,High,orFixedvelocitycurves.Refertothechartbelow.

TheMusicalInstrumentDigitalInterface(MIDI)isanindustry-standardprotocolthatenableselectronicmusicalinstrumentssuchaskeyboards,computers,drummachines,etc.tocommunicate,control,andsynchronizewitheachother.MIDItransmissionsconsistofelectroniccodesthatcommunicatenotestobeplayed,theinstrument,pitchorintensitythatnotesaretobeplayedwith,andcontrollingcodessuchasvolume,vibrato,cuesandclocksignals.TheRhapsodyIIIhasseveralfunctionsthatfacilitateitsuseasaMIDIdeviceorcontroller.
MIDI ChannelsTheRhapsodyIIIhas16channelsnumberedfrom1-16.Eachofthechannelsisresponsibleforavoice.WhentheinstrumentreceivesMIDIinformationfromanexternaldevice,theactivechannelisdeterminedbythecontrolmessage.
Thetransmissionchannelsarefixedasfollows:
Channel1-Mastervoice(keyboard)
Channel2-Splitvoice(keyboard)
Channel3-Layervoice(keyboard)
Local On/Off TurningtheLocalOn/Offfunctionto“Off”willdisconnectthekeyboardfromtheinternalsoundengineofthepiano.TheRhapsodyIIImaythenbeusedasaMIDIcontrollertocontrolotherMIDIdevicesorvirtualinstrumentsoftwarerunningonacomputer,withoutplayingthesoundsonthepiano.Additionally,itmaybedesirabletoturnlocalplayingoffforotherrequirementssuchaswhenusingMIDIsequencingsoftwareonyourcomputer.
Local On/Off Setting1. PressandholdtheFunctionbutton.
2. PresstheD#1key.WhenD#1isfirstpressedthecurrentsettingisconfirmedbythepianoplayingaC3noteonceforonandtwiceforoff.PressingD#1againwillchangethesettingplayingaC3notetheamountoftimesequivalenttothenewsetting.
Multitimbral ModeTheRhapsodyIIIisabletoreceiveMIDIinformationonupto16channelssimultaneously.IfyouplantouseyourpianowithamultitrackMIDIrecordingsystem,youcanrecordupto16differentpartsusingtheWilliamsRhapsodyvoices,eachplayedbackindividuallyondifferentMIDIchannels.Toensureyourrecordedpartisplayedbackwiththecorrectvoicemakesuretopressthevoicebuttonfirstandplayyourpartsecond.
NOTE: Because the Rhapsody is receiving playback information via MIDI, the currently selected voice on the piano may not correspond to the voice being played back.
MIDI Channel Modes1. PressandholdtheFunctionbutton.
2. PressingA#0allowsyoutochangetheMIDIchannel.ThemainpianosoundwillplayPiano1C3theamountoftimesequivalenttothecurrentvalue.So,ifMIDIchannel5isselecteditwillplay5times.YouthenpressA#0fivetimestoselectchannel10.Piano1C3willplaytheamountoftimesequivalenttothecurrentsetting,after2secondsofinactivity.Once16isreached,pressingonemoretimewillselect1.
MIDI Panic Reset1. PressandholdtheFunctionbutton.
2. PressingC#1triggers“MIDIPanic”whichsendsoutgeneralMIDIresetmessagessuchasallnoteoff,etc.OncePanicresethasbeencompleted,thepianowillautomaticallyexitEditmode.
Memory AutosaveWhenmodifyingthesettingsoftheWilliamsRhapsodyIIIthefollowingsettingswillbesavedafteryouturnoffthekeyboard:Reverb,Chorus,ModFX(foreachvoice),MainVolume,LayerVolume,SplitPoint,SplitVolume,MIDIChannel,VelocityCurve,SplitOctave,andAutoPowerOff.
