And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praisesunto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenlythere was a great earthquake, so that the foundations ofthe prison were shaken: and immediately all the doorswere opened, and every one’s bands were loosed (Acts

16:25-26).

AActs 16 chronicles how songs of praise from Pauland Silas resulted in a divinely orchestrated

earthquake that saw to their release from an obnoxiousincarceration. When you praise the Lord from your heart inthe beauty of holiness, the result is a divine explosion of glory.Praise and worship the Lord in the face of dauntingchallenges, and His glory will be manifested in your behalf.

If you desire a miracle today, whether it’s in your job orfinances or even trouble at work; or perhaps it has to do withyour health or that of a loved one; whatever it is, as an actof faith, set this matter before you, and begin to sing songs ofpraise in the spirit and also in your understanding again andagain, as the spirit gives you utterance. By this act of faith, you’re invoking the power of the mighty God—the most HighGod—over the matter before you.

You don’t have to say much. Don’t talk about the thingthat’s been bothering you; keep your focus on the Lord, asyou sing and dance to the Lord, chanting verses of praise toextol His majesty, the power of God will surge through yourbeing. Don’t stop at this time; as the inspiration increases, speak in tongues again and again, until you have a note ofvictory.

The Power Of Praise AndWorship

FRIDAY

1

No matter what the case is, such worship will befollowed by the miraculous. Rather than feel downcast, helpless or overwhelmed when you face challenges, employthe worship and praise strategy; the power of God’s Spirit willbe stirred, and you’ll have a testimony.

This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thouaffirm constantly, that they which have believed in Godmight be careful to maintain good works. These things

are good and profitable unto men (Titus 3:8).

TThe Christian walk is that of continual affirmation ofthe Word. Jesus said, “For“For II havehave notnot spokenspoken ofof

myself;myself; butbut thethe FatherFather whichwhich sentsent me,me, hehe gavegave meme aacommandment, commandment, whatwhat II shouldshould say, say, andand whatwhat II shouldshould speak”speak”(John 12:49). Thus, what you re-echo must be the Father’swords. The Father’s words are words of the Kingdom; wordsof life.

When we say we have the God-life in us, or talk aboutbeing born again, or the new creation life, these aren’treligious clichés derived from philosophy. These areexpressions of the Word. In Christianity, we affirm the Word;we confess the Word. Whatever we say or speak should, andmust always, be in conformity with the Word of God.

Constantly affirm that you’re a new creation in ChristJesus, infused with the life of God, not vulnerable to thecrippling influences of this world! Affirm that the life of Godis at work in your spirit, soul, and body. Affirm that the sameSpirit that raised up Jesus from the dead vitalizes your bodyand invigorates you through and through, always!

Never say, “I’m sick,” or “I have a headache,” becausesickness doesn’t belong in the Kingdom of God; it nevercomes from the Father. So, don’t affirm it. Don’t affirmpoverty, weakness, lack, or fear. Declare that you’re bold, strong, and courageous. 2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For“For GodGod hathhathnotnot givengiven usus thethe spiritspirit ofof fear;fear; butbut ofof power, power, andand ofof love, love, andand ofof aa soundsound mind.”mind.” This is what you affirm. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, yedo shew the Lord’s death till he come (1 Corinthians

11:26).

EEven though many use these terms synonymously, there’s a big difference between the Holy

Communion and the Lord’s Supper. They’re not the same. What some celebrate as the Lord’s Supper is the

Passover meal; the last meal the Lord shared with Hisdisciples. That’s like the Love Feasts we have in our cell orchurch groups today; we come together once in a while andeat together. Paul referred to similar feasts in 1 Corinthians11:20-22 where he rebuked some people for not waiting fortheir brethren, but over-ate till others had nothing to eat. Hesaid to them, “If you can’t be kind to one another during lovefeasts, then eat at home before coming.” This definitely wasn’tthe Holy Communion.

On the night Jesus was betrayed, as He ate thePassover meal with His disciples, He took bread separately, broke it, and gave it to them to share (Matthew 26:26).He said, “This is my body.” This is different from the meal(the meal was His “last supper” with the disciples). He alsotook the cup (after supper, 1 Corinthians 11:25), gave thanks, and said to His disciples, “...Drink“...Drink yeye allall ofof it;it; ForFor thisthis isismymy bloodblood ofof thethe newnew testament, testament, whichwhich isis shedshed forfor manymanyforfor thethe remissionremission ofof sins.”sins.” This is the communion. He hadcommunion with them during the “last supper.”

The Holy Communion is the communion of the bodyand blood of Christ. When you’re born again, you become

one with the Lord. You become a participant in His bodyand blood, a sharer of His life. Therefore, in partaking of thecommunion, you’re reaffirming your oneness with the Lord, and reminding yourself of who you are.

We’re one with the Lord. This means His victory isour victory; His ability is our ability. We’re sufficient in Hissufficiency (2 Corinthians 3:5). There’re no impossibilities withyou, now that you’re in Christ. You’ve been brought into thelife of unending victories. Be mindful of these as you prepareto take the Communion.

Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, andordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and

that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shallask of the Father in my name, he may give it you (John

15:16).

PPsalm 1:3 reveals something phenomenal about you,and the life of extraordinary prosperity God has

called you to. It says, “And“And hehe shallshall bebe likelike aa treetree plantedplanted bybythethe riversrivers ofof water, water, thatthat bringethbringeth forthforth hishis fruitfruit inin hishis season;season;hishis leafleaf alsoalso shallshall notnot wither;wither; andand whatsoeverwhatsoever hehe doethdoeth shallshallprosper.”prosper.” This should let you know that your prosperity isn’tdependent on the economics and economies of this world. The people of the world spend time looking for the moving or“booming” business or trade to invest in. That shouldn’t beyour thinking, as the seed of Abraham. Think from a higherlevel.

Notice again the words of the Spirit in Psalm 1:3:“…and“…and whatsoeverwhatsoever hehe doethdoeth shallshall prosper.”prosper.” He didn’t sayyou’ll prosper if the business is what’s trending or booming. The emphasis is “whatsoever”; in other words, there’s anempowerment in your life to cause you to prosper in allthings.

In the Old Testament, Moses spoke to the childrenof Israel, and gave them God’s promises. Imagine what hesaid God would do for them: “And“And hehe willwill lovelove thee, thee, andandblessbless thee, thee, andand multiplymultiply thee:thee: hehe willwill alsoalso blessbless thethe fruitfruit ofofthythy womb, womb, andand thethe fruitfruit ofof thythy land, land, thythy corn, corn, andand thythy wine, wine, andand thinethine oil, oil, thethe increaseincrease ofof thythy kine, kine, andand thethe flocksflocks ofof thythysheep, sheep, inin thethe landland whichwhich hehe swaresware untounto thythy fathersfathers toto givegive

thee”thee” (Deuteronomy 7:13). Think about that! Everything thathad to do with them was blessed. As long as it was connectedto them, it prospered.

Now, in the New Testament, we have a bettercovenant, established upon better promises: “But“But nownow hathhathhehe obtainedobtained aa moremore excellentexcellent ministry, ministry, byby howhow muchmuch alsoalso heheisis thethe mediatormediator ofof aa betterbetter covenant, covenant, whichwhich waswas establishedestablisheduponupon betterbetter promises”promises” (Hebrews 8:6). Therefore, anythingyou’re involved in should, of necessity, prosper; anything! Theimportant factor isn’t what’s trending; the important factor isyou. If you’re in it, then it’s blessed. Hallelujah!

Listen to the glad shouts of victory in the tents of God’speople: The LORD’s mighty power has done it! (Psalm

118:15 GNB).

CChapter six of the Book of Joshua tells us how thewalls of Jericho fell down flat for the children of

Israel to go in and take over the city. They didn’t need cranesor heavy duty equipment to crumble the walls; they did it witha shout! Read the inspiring account in Joshua 6:2-5; they hadwanted to go into Jericho, but the wall prevented them, forthey were too high and too thick. However, God gave theman instruction. He didn’t instruct them to pray, or beg. All Heasked them to do was to march round the wall without sayinganything, and then give a shout at the appointed time. Whatfollowed was breathtaking: the walls fell down, flat.

There’s something about our shout in the Holy Ghost;it’s not ordinary. When people haven’t received the HolySpirit, that’s when things like this mystify them. If you goto a Church where they never shout, something is surelymissing: it’s the power of the Holy Ghost, because once theHoly Ghost gets anywhere, the shout of a king is there; Heannounces His presence.

Recall what happened on the day of Pentecost: the daythe Holy Spirit began His dispensation with the Church. TheBible says, “And“And suddenlysuddenly therethere camecame aa soundsound fromfrom heavenheaven asasofof aa rushingrushing mightymighty wind, wind, andand itit filledfilled allall thethe househouse wherewhere theytheywerewere sitting”sitting” (Acts 2:2). Notice the description: the soundwas as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the wholehouse where they were sitting. The Holy Spirit announced Hispresence with a loud sound! Were they quiet afterwards? No!Acts 2:4 says, “And“And theythey werewere allall filledfilled withwith thethe HolyHoly Ghost,Ghost,

When the Holy Ghost comes into your life, irrespectiveof how quietly you were born, it makes no difference; youcan’t be quiet anymore. I don’t mean to say you becomeloquacious; I’m talking about the power of the Spirit stirredin you to shout and affirm the Word with boldness. It’s not ashout of pandemonium, or fright, but the shout of a king; thevictory shout!

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profitethnothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit,

and they are life (John 6:63).

TThe Lord Jesus was a master of words; He had, andspoke, wisdom all the time. He was wisdom

personified. He knew exactly the right words to say in everysituation, to everyone, and concerning everything. His wordswere filled with inspiration, healing, comfort, hope, love, andpower. He had words for everything.

Imagine what transpired in Luke 7:11-17. He was ona journey to the city of Nain, and as He arrived at the gateof the City, He saw a funeral procession of a young man,who happened to be the only son of a widow. Moved withcompassion, He touched the casket and said, “…Young“…Young man, man, IIsaysay untounto thee, thee, Arise.Arise. AndAnd hehe thatthat waswas deaddead satsat up,up, andand beganbegantoto speak.speak. AndAnd hehe delivereddelivered himhim toto hishis mother”mother” (Luke 7:13-15).He raised the dead body of that young man back to life withwords!

Once, His disciples were startled amidst a ragingtempest. Terrified, they cried out to Him, “…Master,“…Master, carestcarestthouthou notnot thatthat wewe perish?”perish?” (Mark 4:38). What He did wasremarkable: “…he“…he arose, arose, andand rebukedrebuked thethe wind, wind, andand saidsaiduntounto thethe sea, sea, Peace,Peace, bebe still.still. AndAnd thethe windwind ceased, ceased, andand theretherewaswas aa greatgreat calm”calm” (Mark 4:39). It made no difference howturbulent or tempestuous the weather was, Jesus hushed itwith words—the same way He healed and restored sight toblind eyes, hearing to deaf ears, and vitality to maimed limbs.

However, He reveals to us an important truth: thewords He spoke came from the Father. He said in John 12:50,“…whatsoever“…whatsoever II speakspeak therefore, therefore, eveneven asas thethe FatherFather saidsaid untounto

me,me, soso II speak.”speak.” It’s the same with us today. The Father hasgiven us words to speak; we don’t, and shouldn’t, speak ourown words, or words that we learnt from our neighbours orenvironment! We learn words from the Word of God; we getour spiritual vocabulary from the Word of God. That’s whyyou have to keep studying the Scriptures (2 Timothy 2:15).

The result is that you’ll think and talk like Jesus, andhave His kind of extraordinary results! You’ll become a masterof words, speaking wisdom all the time.

That the communication of thy faith may becomeeffectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which

is in you in Christ Jesus (Philemon 1:6).

YYour faith will be ineffective when you don’t knowwho you are, what you have, and your abilities in

Christ. It’s so important to recognize and acknowledge yourGod-given potentials and blessings in Christ Jesus. The Biblesays in 2 Corinthians 4:7, “But“But wewe havehave thisthis treasuretreasure ininearthenearthen vessels….”vessels….” In your spirit, there’re treasures andvirtues; there’re good things in you. Everything about you isperfect and excellent! You have an exceptional quality ofspirit; an excellent spirit.

Ephesians 2:10 says, “For“For wewe areare hishis workmanship, workmanship, createdcreated inin ChristChrist JesusJesus untounto goodgood works, works, whichwhich GodGod hathhathbeforebefore ordainedordained thatthat wewe shouldshould walkwalk inin them.”them.” Look at 2Corinthians 5:17-18. It says “…if“…if anyany manman bebe inin Christ,Christ, hehe isis aanewnew creature:creature: oldold thingsthings areare passedpassed away;away; behold, behold, allall thingsthingsareare becomebecome new.new. AndAnd allall thingsthings areare ofof God….”God….” Now, all thegood things in you are placed there by God; an example isrighteousness. Have you acknowledged His righteousness inyou? 2 Corinthians 5:21 tells us, “For“For hehe hathhath mademade himhim totobebe sinsin forfor us,us, whowho knewknew nono sin;sin; thatthat wewe mightmight bebe mademade thetherighteousnessrighteousness ofof GodGod inin him.”him.”

One reason some are experiencing things that aren’t ofGod in their personal lives is that they haven’t acknowledgedthe good things that are in them in Christ Jesus. Don’t acceptwhat the world says about you. Only acknowledge what Godhas made you, given to you, and said about you in His Word.Acknowledge who you are in Him.

Being justified (declared righteous) freely by his gracethrough the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: WhomGod hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith inhis blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission

of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God(Romans 3:24-25).

DDue to Adam’s transgression, man was separatedfrom God. Romans 3:23 says, “For“For allall havehave sinned, sinned,

andand comecome shortshort ofof thethe gloryglory ofof God.”God.” Sadly, many have onlystayed on the negative part of this scripture, without taking astep further. The twenty-fourth and twenty-fifth verses have somuch faith-building thoughts. Yes, all men sinned in Adam, and fell short of the glory of God, but the problem was fixedin, and by, Jesus Christ.

We’ve been justified, declared righteous freely, by thegrace of God through the redemption that’s in Christ Jesus. In our opening scripture, the Greek word translated“propitiation” is “hilaste?rion,” and it means the place ofmercy, or “Mercy Seat.” In the Old Testament, the MercySeat was the covering of the ark of God. God met there withthe priests, and His presence was on the Mercy Seat. It wasthe place where the blood of sacrifice was sprinkled in thepresence of God; a place for atonement of sins (Leviticus16:15-16).

In the New Testament, God presented Christ as apropitiation or “Mercy Seat.” 1 John 4:10 says, “Herein“Herein isislove, love, notnot thatthat wewe lovedloved God,God, butbut thatthat hehe lovedloved us,us, andand sentsenthishis SonSon toto bebe thethe propitiationpropitiation forfor ourour sins.”sins.” Jesus Christ is the

covering of the ark; He is God’s place of mercy for us. So,just as the Mercy Seat was the place for atonement of sinsin the Old Testament, today, the Lord Jesus Himself is thepropitiation and atonement for the sins of the world.

God, in His righteousness, in His equity, hascompletely removed our sins as though they never existed; He did this in Christ Jesus! This is available to every man inChrist Jesus; Christ is your Mercy Seat. We’re no longer shortof His glory, because He (Christ Jesus) was wounded for ourtransgressions; the predicament was fixed in Jesus. He madeit possible, by His death, burial and glorious resurrection forus to have eternal life, and live righteously unto God. Blessedbe His Name forever!

For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye?do not even the publicans the same? And if ye salute yourbrethren only, what do ye more than others? do not eventhe publicans so? Be ye therefore perfect, even as your

Father which is in heaven is perfect (Matthew 5:46-48).

TThe Word of God will only profit you when you liveit, when you consciously practise or do what it says.

For example, our opening scripture is something you shouldpractise. Live in that scripture and let it be your daily walk. Alearner can make mistakes. So in practising the Word, youmay miss it, but don’t give up and say, “Well, I tried.” Keep atit, and you’ll surely get better.

The latter part of our opening verse says, “Be“Be yeyethereforetherefore perfect, perfect, eveneven asas youryour FatherFather whichwhich isis inin heavenheaven isisperfect”perfect” (Matthew 5:48). As you keep at it, you’d discoverthat you’re making lesser mistakes, until you can confidentlysay, “I have the mind of Christ.” As a Christian, practisingthe Word is how you can enjoy its full benefits in your life, because the power of God is in His Word (Romans 1:16). Ifyou want to see more of the power of God in your life, youmust keep acting on the Word. For example, the Word says,“Be“Be anxiousanxious forfor nothing...”nothing...” (Philippians 4:6 NKJV); practiseit. Refuse to worry or fret about what you’ll eat or wear, where to stay, etc.; rather, by prayer and supplication, withthanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.

We’ve been called to live the Word of God. JesusChrist is the Living Word, and the Bible says we’re as He is.Paul said, “Ye“Ye areare ourour epistles...”epistles...” (2 Corinthians 3:2). That

means we’re the expression of the Word. 1 Peter 1:23 says,

To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that hemight be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in

Jesus (Romans 3:26).

JJesus Christ has become your righteousness. That’swhy in Christianity, we don’t walk in our

righteousness; rather, we declare and boldly affirm that He’sbecome our righteousness. We stand in the presence of Godwith the righteousness of Jesus Christ; and we walk in the lightof that righteousness.

It’s like hiding in His glory or being covered in Hisglory; you’re not seen. It’s His light that’s seen; it’s His glorythat’s seen. It’s His power that’s made manifest, as you walkin His righteousness. His own righteousness is what’sdemonstrated in your life. That’s Christianity. It’s a walk in Hisrighteousness.

2 Corinthians 5:21 tells us, “For“For hehe hathhath mademade himhimtoto bebe sinsin forfor us,us, whowho knewknew nono sin;sin; thatthat wewe mightmight bebe mademadethethe righteousnessrighteousness ofof GodGod inin him.”him.” Now, you’ve become ademonstrator of His righteousness, because He manifests Hisrighteousness through you! He’s the righteousness of the onewho believes in Jesus.

It’s part of what we affirm when we take the HolyCommunion. He said in 1 Corinthians 11:26, “For“For asas oftenoftenasas yeye eateat thisthis bread, bread, andand drinkdrink thisthis cup, cup, yeye dodo shewshew thetheLord’sLord’s deathdeath tilltill hehe come.”come.” His death, burial, and resurrectionresulted in our justification. He took our place of sin, and gaveus His righteousness. This is an amazing reality!

The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest thesound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and

whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit(John 3:8).

WWhen you’re born again, you’re a mystery to theworld, because you’re born of the Spirit. The

Natural man can’t understand you. By the Spirit, David said, “I“Iamam asas aa wonderwonder untounto many…”many…” (Psalm 71:7). That’s what Godhas made everyone that’s born of the Spirit. However, someChristians don’t know this; so, they live ordinary lives. You’renot ordinary; you’re not of this world. You belong in, andfunction from, a different realm: the realm of the Spirit.

The Lord Jesus, in our opening text said, “The“The windwindblowethbloweth wherewhere itit listeth, listeth, andand thouthou hearesthearest thethe soundsound thereof, thereof, butbut canstcanst notnot telltell whencewhence itit cometh, cometh, andand whitherwhither itit goeth:goeth: sosoisis everyevery oneone thatthat isis bornborn ofof thethe Spirit.”Spirit.” In other words, thosewho are born again live by the Spirit. And the Spirit, like thewind, is always moving. Jesus didn’t tell us that the Spirit is likeair; He said it’s like the wind. Wind is moving air. So the Spirit, like the wind, can’t be conditioned in one place. Wind is airin motion.

In the same vein, when you’re born again, born of theSpirit, you’re a spirit in motion. Hallelujah! There’re peoplewho have been in one spot for a long time; they’ve not madeany progress in life; everything seems stagnant. That’s not forthe one who’s born again and filled with the Holy Spirit; he’salways in motion: upward and forward; no stagnation. That’smy life. I’m always moving, always making progress.

That should be your experience. Never allowstagnation in any area of your life. When someone asks,

In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by booksthe number of the years, whereof the word of the LORDcame to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplishseventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem. And I set

my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer andsupplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes

(Daniel 9:2-3).

IIn the scripture above, Daniel was praying about thedeliverance of Israel. He had read in the book of

Jeremiah that their deliverance would come after seventyyears in exile, and as he studied, he realized that that time hadcome. Even though it was time for the children of Israel to befree from their many years of captivity, Daniel knew he stillhad to pray.

As Daniel prayed, God sent Angel Michael to bringdown Persia. Persia had to fall before the children of Israelcould be free from captivity. Daniel didn’t take chances; hesaid, “I“I setset mymy faceface untounto thethe LordLord God,God, toto seekseek byby prayerprayer andandsupplications, supplications, withwith fasting, fasting, andand sackcloth, sackcloth, andand ashes”ashes” (Daniel9:3).

He could have said, “Since God said His childrenwould be free after seventy years of captivity, I don’t need tobother; I’ll wait on Him to do as He had said.” No; Daniel wassmarter than that! He didn’t only pray to God, he includedfasting as well. He was determined to see to it that theprophetic utterance of God came to pass. How inspiring!

This should let you know that just because God sayssomething will happen in your life doesn’t mean it’ll happen,if you don’t do something about it. You have to establish

Psalm 119:89 tells us that God’s Word is foreversettled in heaven; however, it’s your responsibility to settle orestablish the Word in your own life by acting on it, doing whatit says. Act on the knowledge of God’s Word that has cometo you, and your faith will prevail.

The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but therighteous sheweth mercy, and giveth (Psalm 37:21).

SSomeone once asked, “Does God bless borrowedmoney, including borrowed money given to Him as

offerings and seed?”There’s nothing wrong if you borrow money, but make

sure you pay back; otherwise, God doesn’t like it. The Biblesays, “The“The wickedwicked borrowethborroweth andand payethpayeth notnot again.”again.” Goddescribes the one who doesn’t pay his or her debt as wicked.God wants you to serve Him with wholehearted devotion, and willingness of mind, but at the same time, with honesty.Your integrity should be impeccable.

There’re people who don’t have credibility, and don’tcare about their integrity. When they owe, they refuse to pay,and start praying for debt cancellation. Others deliberatelystay away or hide from their creditors. This is wrong; it’s theway of the wicked. The word “wicked” in our opening versedescribes one whose ways are perverse; someone who isn’twalking in the light of God; and that shouldn’t be you. If youowe any debt, don’t let it linger; pay promptly.

Most people who don’t pay back when they borrow, lack integrity, and as a result, they delay their own blessing. Ifyou’re an employer, don’t owe your employees their salaries. When people work for you, don’t delay their payments. We’ve been called to live a higher life. We’re the light of theworld. Let the character of Christ be expressed through youalways, and in all things.

It seemed good to me also, having had perfectunderstanding of all things from the very first, to write

unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus, That thoumightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou

hast been instructed (Luke 1:3-4).

TThe things we believe in Christianity aren’tassumptions; they’re clear-cut, absolute truths. And

the more we study the Scriptures, the more definite we areabout the certainty of those things. The Bible says, “Study“Study totoshewshew thyselfthyself approvedapproved untounto God,God, aa workmanworkman thatthat needethneedethnotnot toto bebe ashamed, ashamed, rightlyrightly dividingdividing thethe wordword ofof truth”truth” (2Timothy 2:15).

God’s Word is truth, the only truth. There’re no othertruths outside the Bible. God gave us the Scriptures to studyas our foundation and truth to believe and live by. Therefore, the Word is all we should accept, and most surely believe.Luke 1:1 says, “Forasmuch“Forasmuch asas manymany havehave takentaken inin handhand toto setsetforthforth inin orderorder aa declarationdeclaration ofof thosethose thingsthings whichwhich areare mostmostsurelysurely believedbelieved amongamong usus ..””

You won’t be able to live the Christian life to the fullestuntil you’re thoroughly convinced that there’re no alternativesto God’s Word. You must be decisively convinced that theWord is true, irrespective of how you feel or thecircumstances around you. This is important, because youcan’t make any meaningful impact with the Gospel, untilyou’re definite about what you believe.

The Apostles didn’t give room in the early church forpeople to be tossed here and there; they wanted everyone to

In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, beingpredestinated according to the purpose of him whoworketh all things after the counsel of his own will

(Ephesians 1:11).

TThere’s a way some people think about Jesus and theGospel that’s inconsistent with the real purpose for

which Jesus came into this world. For some, He came to saveus from sin. But that’s not the reason He came. Yes, He savedus from sin, but He came for much more than that.

To some others, all they know is that He came to“deliver” us from Satan and the forces of darkness. Again, that’s not the reason He came. How could He have come, lived and died, just to save us from sin and the devil? Hecame to do much more. Yes, He saved us from sin. Yes, Hedelivered us from the devil, and the wickedness that’s in theworld, but all that were a means to an end. The Bible says,“And“And HeHe broughtbrought usus outout fromfrom there, there, thatthat HeHe mightmight bringbring ususinin toto givegive usus thethe landland whichwhich HeHe sworeswore toto givegive ourour fathers”fathers”(Deuteronomy 6:23 AMP).

In the foregoing scripture, there’re three importantpoints to note. First, is that “He brought us out”; second, isthe reason He brought us out—it’s so that He might “bring usin.” The third is the ultimate purpose, which is “to give us theland.” The whole idea wasn’t about bringing us out. He savedus, not so we could flee from the devil, but for a purpose—tobring us into something—our place in Christ; our inheritancein Him.

In Acts 26:18, Paul the Apostle narrated how the LordJesus sent him to the Gentiles, “To“To openopen theirtheir eyes, eyes, andandtoto turnturn themthem fromfrom darknessdarkness toto light, light, andand fromfrom thethe powerpower

No Christian ought to be broke or poor. The Bible sayswe’re joint-heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17). A Christian maycall himself poor, and may go without, but that doesn’t makehim poor; he’s only ignorant of what belongs to him. Listen to what I am saying; pay attention to what I amtelling you (Isaiah 28:23 GNB).

SSome people don’t pay attention to the differentactivities of the Spirit that happen during the service

when they’re in Church. They get carried away such that eventhough the presence and power of God could be so strong inthat environment, their lives are not improved, becausethey’re distracted.

Your undivided attention is so vital each time you’rein the presence of the Lord in the Church, and even duringyour personal devotions. God always has something specialfor you, a word for you that’ll increase your glory, but you’vegot to pay the right currency—your attention. When you giveHim your attention, you get everything He has for you.

God’s Word is God’s answer, and with your attention, you allow its free entrance into your spirit, until it changesyour frame of mind, your way of thinking, and influences yourwords and delivers your inheritance to you. So, in praying to,and worshipping the Lord, always let it be from your spirit, with focus and attention. That way, the Spirit will minister toyou, even as you minister to Him.

Give the Lord your attention; give Him your heart; giveHim your mind. Let Him minister to you, and through you.Hebrews 10:22 says, “Let“Let usus drawdraw nearnear withwith aa truetrue heartheart inin fullfullassuranceassurance ofof faith….”faith….” This doesn’t mean to “come close” toGod, because you’re already in Him, and He in you. Rather,it refers to turning your attention to Him, making Him yourfocus. It’s a terminology that refers to a consciousness of yourspirit, because we can’t draw any nearer to Him than wealready did; we’re one with Him.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are thesons of God (Romans 8:14).

OOne reason some of God’s children find themselvesin unpalatable situations is that they don’t submit

to the leading of the Spirit. The Holy Spirit leads us throughthe Word. Any counsel you receive that’s contrary to whatthe Word says isn’t from the Holy Spirit. Some people prayabout something, then an idea comes to them, and they say,“Well, God is leading me to do such-and-such.” If you were toask them, “Why do you believe it’s God that’s leading you inthat direction?” they’d say, “because I prayed about it.”

The fact that you prayed about it isn’t enough! Whatdid the Lord say to you after you prayed? Did He tell youexpressly to go ahead and do whatever it is you think He’sleading you to do? Is the idea you got in sync with God’sWord? Is it consistent with the scriptures? His Word is His willexpressed. In yielding to the Spirit, to be led by Him, you yieldto the Lordship, supremacy, and guidance of the Word.

This is why knowing the Word for yourself is absolutelyindispensable. It’s important to have accurate knowledge ofthe Word. The more submissive you are to the Lordship ofthe Word, the more easily the Spirit can lead you, and expressHimself through you. His desire is to lead you from glory toglory.

Our theme verse says, “For“For asas manymany asas areare ledled byby thetheSpiritSpirit ofof God,God, theythey areare thethe sonssons ofof GodGod ”” (Romans 8:14).The underlined portion has to do with maturity; it refers to

the matured sons of God (“huios”: Greek)—those who havecome to the place of maturity—they subject themselves to theleading of the Holy Spirit.

To fulfil God’s destiny for your life, you must learnto follow the Spirit in the Word, by the Word, and throughthe Word. Never make a major decision in your life withoutconsulting with Him. And don’t be in a hurry when seekingHis guidance; be patient until you hear His voice—His words—in your spirit, and never be in conflict with the Scriptures.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in

the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58).

TToo many people are tossed back and forth in life;they’re as unstable as water. That’s not God’s desire

for you. He wants you steadfast, stable, consistent, alwaysabounding in the work of the Lord. He wants you firm andstable in your faith. And the Word of God is what brings thatbalance and stability into your life.

To become a stable person, you have to becomestable in the Word. Some people are easily moved anddissuaded from the faith by what they see and hear; they runtheir lives on the basis of their emotions and experiences.Every little thing shakes their faith. Never find yourself in thatclass.

Believe with all your heart that the Scriptures will giveyou light, and direction, and that it holds the solution to everyproblem. Therefore, irrespective of the troubles, adversitiesand challenges, remain steadfast. Be unshakable. Trust theWord. Put your faith in it; believe it; be firm with the messageof the Gospel. Become so inundated with the Word until theWord alone is all you think, talk and live out.

Serving Christ isn’t in vain. God isn’t unrighteous toforget your work and labour of love (Hebrews 6:10). Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workmanthat needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word

of truth (2 Timothy 2:15).

AAs you grow in Christ, one important decision youmust make is to continually increase your

knowledge of the Word. Be passionate to know the Lordmore through careful and diligent study of the Scriptures.Give more attention to the Word of God; digest it into yourspirit; meditate on it. Never assume that you already knowenough of the Word.

There’re people who just believe they’ve known theWord enough; they’ve become so “familiar” with the Word, and think they know everything in the Scriptures. Such peopleonly realize the paucity of the Word in their spirit in the hourof crisis; that’s when they find themselves acting in fear andanxiety. That’s proof that the Word was really not inside them.Colossians 3:16 says, “Let“Let thethe wordword ofof ChristChrist dwelldwell inin youyourichly...,”richly...,” not scarcely.

Abide in knowledge. The more you study the Word, the more you discover who Christ is, His character andnature, and also, the more you discover who you are in Him.And as you study, He manifests Himself to you in increasingglory. Our opening verse says, “Study“Study toto shewshew thyselfthyselfapprovedapproved untounto God….”God….” In other words, study to be successful;study to be updated, and increase your knowledge.

The Bible says through knowledge shall the just bedelivered (not only out of trouble), but into their inheritance(Proverbs 11:9). Christ has brought us freedom from defeatand freedom from sin; He’s given us the ability to decide thekind of life we want to live. He’s brought us liberty; He said,

Meditate on theScriptures day and night, and you’ll be like a tree plantedby the rivers of water, fruitful, productive, and prosperingexceedingly in all that you do.

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may

lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness andhonesty…. (1 Timothy 2:1-4).

OOur theme scripture is the Spirit’s admonitionthrough Paul to the Church on the importance of

earnest intercession for all men, our countries of domicile, and the leaders therein. The result of such is an overwhelmingexperience of God’s blessings of peace and prosperity. Isaiah1:19 says, “If“If yeye bebe willingwilling andand obedient, obedient, yeye shallshall eateat thethe goodgoodofof thethe land.”land.” This is part of what you do inobedience—praying, contending for the hearts of men in yourcountry, and around the world, that His righteousness will beestablished, and all forms of evil, turmoil, wickedness, andterror, be thwarted.

Today, the security and economic situations of theworld are of great concern. But the Church holds the solution. The Church is the only restraining power against evil in theearth today (2 Thessalonians 2:7). Some Christians don’t prayfor their country; instead they complain. Don’t be that way!If you don’t pray for your country, how would you enjoy thegood of the land? Meanwhile, in every nation, the Bible showsthat there’s a lot of good in the land. Psalm 33:5 says, “…“… thetheearthearth isis fullfull ofof thethe goodnessgoodness ofof thethe LORD.”LORD.”

Pray also for ministers, that theybe granted more grace to preach the Gospel with boldnessand power, that many more souls may be added to the Lordall around the world.

Until the rapture takes place, we, as God’s people, hold the true reins of power in the nations, and have theauthority to direct their course through prayer.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith (Galatians

5:22).

YYou might want to ask, “If someone who’s bornagain realizes that he has hatred, anger, bitterness,

jealousy, envy, pride, etc., in his heart, how should he get ridof them? Should he pray to God to take them away?” First, you need to know who a Christian is; he’s someone whosespirit has been recreated by God; and the recreated humanspirit has certain distinct features, such as love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, and faith.

Hatred, anger, bitterness, jealousy, envy and pridearen’t features of the recreated human spirit; so, refuse toharbour them. Look into your spirit and bring forth love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith. You havethese beautiful features in your spirit. You may call them the“produce” of your human spirit, because you’re a tree ofrighteousness.

The Bible says the love of God is shed abroad in yourheart by the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5); this means there’s noroom in your heart for hatred, bitterness, jealousy, and allsuch negativities. Those are the works of the flesh. And Goddidn’t tell us to pray about them. What He tells us is to putthem off! If that weren’t possible for you to do, He wouldn’thave said so.

What you should do when there seems to be amanifestation of the works of the flesh in your life is to useyour mouth! Declare that there’s love in your heart. That’s

what you start with. You might ask, “Must I say it?” Yes, youmust say it, and continue to say it, because your mouth isthe rudder that controls your life. Every now and then, affirm,“Jesus Christ is Lord of my life, and I walk in love!” The moreyou say it, the greater the manifestation and expression of thelove of Christ in your life.

You’re born with the nature of God in your heart; youhave the life of God in you. Be more conscious of the featuresof your spirit, and let your words and actions be consistentwith your true nature.

For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship),recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do

those good works which God predestined (plannedbeforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared

ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living thegood life which He prearranged and made ready for us to

AAs a Christian, there’s no challenge or problemstrong enough to destroy you, because the greater

One lives in you. You’re more than a conqueror. Before youwere born, God already knew every problem you’d ever face, and made you a victor. The reason God allows problems orchallenges come to you is that He already put the solutioninside you. Problems gravitate towards their solution. So,when you face challenges, don’t cower or fret; rather, rejoice, for it’s your opportunity to manifest the glory of God.

According as his divine power hath given unto us allthings that pertain unto life and godliness, through theknowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue

(2 Peter 1:3).

TThe life that we’ve been called to live in Christ is thetranscendent life. It’s far removed from failure and

defeat, because we’re associates of the God-kind. We’re jointheirs with Christ. Why then should any Christian suffer defeatand pain, when he’s a joint-heir with Christ?

God had a plan, to make you one with Christ. That planhas already materialised. 1 Corinthians 6:17 says, “But“But hehe thatthatisis joinedjoined untounto thethe LordLord isis oneone spirit.”spirit.” Now that you’re bornagain, you’re one with the Lord. You’ve come into union withChrist. You’re not one who’s struggling to attain God’s level;you’re already one with Him.

Therefore, sickness, disease and infirmity shouldn’thave a place in your body. Failure of any kind isn’t, andshouldn’t be, a part of your life. Satan isn’t a factor either, because you’re seated with Christ in heavenly places, farabove all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that’s named, not only in this world, but alsoin that which is to come. You’re superior to Satan and hiscohorts.

Moreover, Ephesians 1:3 says, “Blessed“Blessed bebe thethe GodGodandand FatherFather ofof ourour LordLord JesusJesus Christ,Christ, whowho hathhath blessedblessed usus withwithallall spiritualspiritual blessingsblessings inin heavenlyheavenly placesplaces inin Christ.”Christ.” You mightsay, “But He only blessed us with all spiritual blessings”; no,understand that the spiritual controls the physical. The lesseris included in the greater. So, if you’re blessed with all spiritualblessings, then you have automatically been blessed with all

physical blessings. This means that there’s nothing you don’thave.

No wonder Paul said, “…all“…all thingsthings areare yours”yours” (1Corinthians 3:21). Everything you require for the life ofabsolute success, victory, dominion, glory and righteousnesshas already been granted you in Christ. That’s what we read inour opening verse. So, as a Christian, poverty is unnecessary, because you’re the seed of Abraham. The reason many sufferis their lack of knowledge: “My“My peoplepeople areare destroyeddestroyed forfor lacklackofof knowledge…”knowledge…” (Hosea 4:6).

Get to know who you are. You were called to a life ofglory and excellence, not failure and defeat. Live every daywith this consciousness.

But the anointing which ye have received of him abidethin you…(1 John 2:27).

AAs a child of God, there’s an anointing on your life;it’s a divine enablement. Many mistake the

anointing for the Spirit, but the anointing isn’t the Spirit. TheSpirit gives the anointing; the anointing is a divine power. It’sthat power of God that heals, delivers, removes burdens, andcauses you to prosper. It brings you victory. It opens doors foryou. It uplifts you, and causes you to fulfil the will of theFather. It accomplishes works beyond your human ability.

Another beautiful thing is that the anointing on yourlife can increase. Sometimes, people want to do more; theywant to make more impact with the Gospel by reaching morepeople. Yes; that’s possible and commendable, but you needincreased grace. God will have to increase the authority givento you; but first, you must be faithful with what you alreadyhave. If you’re faithful in using what you currently have, thenHe’ll cause a new anointing to come on you.

If you’re a leader in the house of God, for instance, and the Lord has committed fifty members to you to lead,be committed in praying and interceding for those fifty asyou would for fifty thousand. If you’re not faithful with thefifty, even if you fast and pray for increase in membership, itmay never happen, because the anointing can’t be increasedwithout faithfulness.

Jesus said in Luke 16:10, “He“He thatthat isis faithfulfaithful inin thatthatwhichwhich isis leastleast isis faithfulfaithful alsoalso inin much:much: andand hehe thatthat isis unjustunjustinin thethe leastleast isis unjustunjust alsoalso inin much.”much.” It’s a spiritual principle.Choose to be faithful with whatever the Lord has committed

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for hethat cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is

a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (Hebrews11:6).

EEvery child of God has faith. The Bible says God hasgiven to every man the measure of faith (Romans

12:3). However, a lot of time, some aren’t bold to act theirfaith. For example, during a Church meeting, there could besomeone who has a word of prophecy, but instead of goingahead to proclaim it, he’s nervous and unable to summonenough boldness to do so.

The person could be thinking, “I’ve never prophesiedbefore; how can I just stand up in this crowd and startprophesying?” With such thoughts going through his mind, his faith dissipates, and the opportunity passes by, withouthim fulfilling God’s plan for the hour. Whereas, the one who’sfilled with the Spirit doesn’t even wait to get the full messagebefore he stands up to give the Word. Once he hears asentence from the Spirit, he steps out in faith to give it. Andas he begins, the Spirit leads him on and on until he gives thefull message.

To walk in the Spirit is to walk by faith; and faith isactive, not passive. It’s the response of the human spirit tothe Word of God. So, always be bold to act your faith. WhenGod’s Word comes to you, act on it. Take a step of faith.Imagine what the Lord said to Abraham, “…Get“…Get theethee outoutofof thythy country, country, andand fromfrom thythy kindred, kindred, andand fromfrom thythy father’sfather’shouse, house, untounto aa landland thatthat II willwill shewshew thee”thee” (Genesis 12:1). …that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God (Romans 12:2).

TThere’s the good will, the acceptable will, and theperfect will of God. Always, what the Lord desires is

for us to walk in His perfect will. The perfect will is God’sdesign for you. That’s God’s definite will for your life.

A clear evidence of spiritual maturity is the ability todiscern and walk in God’s perfect will for your life. Andthis isn’t something that’s difficult; God’s Word expresses Hisperfect thoughts and opinions, so you can trust the Word.Psalm 119:105 describes the Word as a lamp unto your feet, and a light unto your path. The Word gives you direction andguidance. So, you need to know God’s Word to understandand walk in His perfect will for you.

Praying fervently and consistently in tongues is equallyvery important in recognizing and walking in God’s perfectwill. Praying in tongues, amongst its other benefits, conditionsyour spirit to be attuned and sensitive to the Holy Spirit, making it easier for you to receive direction and guidance inyour spirit.

There’re people who are into certain jobs andbusinesses because it’s good, yet that’s not God’s perfect willfor them. And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge themount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the Lord’s

(Obadiah 1:21).

AAs Christians, we don’t need deliverance from thedevil, for we’ve already been delivered: “Giving“Giving

thanksthanks untounto thethe Father,Father, whichwhich hathhath mademade usus meetmeet toto bebepartakerspartakers ofof thethe inheritanceinheritance ofof thethe saintssaints inin light:light: WhoWho hathhathdelivereddelivered usus fromfrom thethe powerpower ofof darkness, darkness, andand hathhath translatedtranslatedusus intointo thethe kingdomkingdom ofof hishis deardear Son”Son” (Colossians 1:12-13).You might then wonder why Jesus taught the disciples topray, “And“And leadlead usus notnot intointo temptation, temptation, butbut deliverdeliver usus fromfromevil...”evil...” (Matthew 6:13).

Jesus gave His disciples and those in the OldTestament this model of prayer because, at the time, the evilone—Satan—still had power over them and God was theirsuccour. So, they had to pray to Him to deliver them fromthe evil one. But in the New Testament, after the resurrectionof the Lord Jesus Christ, there’s no place in the Bible thatsuggests that we should pray about the devil, or ask God’shelp against him. Satan and all his demons are under yourfeet; keep them there.

The most beautiful part isn’t that you’ve beendelivered, but that you’ve been made a deliverer. EveryChristian is a deliverer. We’re not the ones needingdeliverance. We’re the ones giving deliverance. Our openingverse in the New International Version says, “Deliverers“Deliverers willwillgogo upup onon MountMount ZionZion toto governgovern thethe mountainsmountains ofof Esau.Esau. AndAndthethe kingdomkingdom willwill bebe thethe LORD’s.”LORD’s.”

We’re champions from Zion, anointed with the HolyGhost and power to heal, bless, deliver and transform lives.

Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, soalso the soul of the son is mine… (Ezekiel 18:4).

TThere’re those who ask if it’s possible for people tosell their souls to the devil. No one can sell his or her

soul to the devil; the reason being that all souls belong toGod. How can Satan possibly pay for the soul of any humanbeing and with what “currency” exactly? God paid for the soulof every man, woman, boy, and girl, with the precious bloodof Jesus Christ (1 Peter 1:18-19).

Satan lies to a whole lot of Christians, deceiving themto think he’s in charge of their lives somehow, whereas hedoesn’t have such rights. Jesus bought the whole field andpaid for everyman. So, you can’t sell your soul to the devil.Even if you stood in front of the devil and said to him, “I sellmy soul to you.” He couldn’t buy it. Your soul neither belongsto you nor Satan; it belongs to God.

Even when you give your heart to Jesus, you’re not“selling” your heart to Him either. The terminology of “givingyour heart to Jesus” doesn’t really apply in the way we thinka lot of times, as to “bundling” yourself up and giving yourselfto Him. To give Him your heart is to give Him your attention. He said, “My“My son, son, givegive meme thinethine heart, heart, andand letlet thinethine eyeseyesobserveobserve mymy ways”ways” (Proverbs 23:26). So, when we say, “Giveyour heart to the Lord”, we’re saying, “Turn over to Him; yieldyourself to do His will.”

The reason you can do that is because He gave youthe right; He took the right off Satan, gave it to you, and said,“Give me your heart and follow me!” He told the Israelites,“I“I havehave setset beforebefore youyou lifelife andand death, death, blessingblessing andand cursing:cursing:thereforetherefore choosechoose life...”life...” (Deuteronomy 30:19). He told them

to choose life! Serve God truly, with your life. Love Him withall your heart, for your soul belongs to Him.

It’s important to understand, nonetheless, that there’ssuch a term as ‘selling oneself to do evil.’ This means willinglyyielding oneself to do evil or wickedness. In this way, onecould be said to have ‘sold himself’ to the devil or evil. “And“AndAhabAhab saidsaid toto Elijah,Elijah, HastHast thouthou foundfound me,me, OO minemine enemy?enemy?AndAnd hehe answered, answered, II havehave foundfound thee:thee: becausebecause thouthou hasthastsoldsold thyselfthyself toto workwork evilevil inin thethe sightsight ofof thethe LORD...ButLORD...But theretherewaswas nonenone likelike untounto Ahab,Ahab, whichwhich diddid sellsell himselfhimself toto workworkwickednesswickedness inin thethe sightsight ofof thethe LORD,LORD, whomwhom JezebelJezebel hishis wifewifestirredstirred up”up” (1 Kings 21:20, 25).

Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hathgreat recompense of reward. For ye have need of

patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, yemight receive the promise (Hebrews 10:35-36).

TThe Bible is replete with accounts of men andwomen who achieved so much by adding patience

to their faith; as did Abraham, Sarah, Joseph and Moses. Thisvirtue is further developed through tribulations. “And“And notnot onlyonlyso,so, butbut wewe gloryglory inin tribulationstribulations also:also: knowingknowing thatthat tribulationtribulationworkethworketh patience”patience” (Romans 5:3).

Many are impatient because they really don’t trustGod, so they try to “help” Him bring His Word to passquickly. Some have erred terribly in this regard, for example,King Saul; he was to wait for Samuel to come offer thesacrifice, in preparation for the war against the Philistines.Offering that sacrifice was exclusively the responsibility ofSamuel the prophet; but when Samuel delayed, Saul couldn’twait. He went ahead and offered the sacrifice.

Interestingly, he was still at it, when Samuel walkedin. Samuel then said to him, “Thou“Thou hasthast donedone foolishly:foolishly: thouthouhasthast notnot keptkept thethe commandmentcommandment ofof thethe LORDLORD thythy God,God,whichwhich hehe commandedcommanded thee:thee: forfor nownow wouldwould thethe LORDLORD havehaveestablishedestablished thythy kingdomkingdom uponupon IsraelIsrael forfor ever.ever. ButBut nownow thythykingdomkingdom shallshall notnot continue…“continue…“ (1 Samuel 13:13-14). God hadmade a promise to Saul that his dynasty would be forever, butSaul lost it. His demonstration of impatience cost him and hislineage the kingship.

Many still make similar mistakes today. Some peoplewant to make major decisions, and instead of them to stay

on the Word, which is divine counsel, direction, or guidance, they go ahead and do what’s on their minds, saying theyprayed about it.

In your walk with the Lord, trust Him, and be patient. Ifyou’re looking to Him for a miracle, trust Him, knowing thatHe never fails, and His timing is always perfect. James 1:4says, “But“But letlet patiencepatience havehave herher perfectperfect work, work, thatthat yeye maymay bebeperfectperfect andand entire, entire, wantingwanting nothing.”nothing.” You need patience for abalanced, successful and stable Christian life.

But the end and culmination of all things has now comenear; keep sound minded and self-restrained and alert

therefore for [the practice of] prayer (1 Peter 4:7 AMP).

MMany people live as though this world is all there is.Life on earth is short. Whether you’re a politician,

an entrepreneur, civil servant, whoever you are, and whateveractivities you’re involved in, the end of all things is at hand. Therefore, live purposefully; serve God with your life. Live forHis glory. Refuse to allow anything take your attention awayfrom Him.

There’s so much wickedness and lawlessness, asuperfluity of waywardness, in today’s world. As a result, thelove of many has gone cold. Many aren’t as passionate andfervent for the Lord as they should: “And“And becausebecause iniquityiniquityshallshall abound, abound, thethe lovelove ofof manymany shallshall waxwax cold”cold” (Matthew24:12). Don’t let that happen to you. Remain excited aboutJesus. Be excited about the Holy Spirit, about the Word ofGod, and about going to Church. Be excited to praise Him,irrespective of the challenges you might be facing, and thedifficulties in today’s world. Be fervent in soul winning.

The Bible says he that endures to the end, the sameshall be saved (Read Matthew 10:22). To “endure” means togo through certain difficulties and yet not give up. No wonderPaul said, “But“But nonenone ofof thesethese thingsthings movemove me,me, neitherneither countcount IImymy lifelife deardear untounto myself, myself, soso thatthat II mightmight finishfinish mymy coursecourse withwithjoy, joy, andand thethe ministry, ministry, whichwhich II havehave receivedreceived ofof thethe LordLord Jesus,Jesus, toto testifytestify thethe gospelgospel ofof thethe gracegrace ofof God”God” (Acts 20:24). A Higher LifeRhapsody of Realities being aired on Radio is the best thing that has happened to me. Icame in contact with the devotional as it was being aired, and I heard the presenter say,“There’s no answer to the challenges of man, but the Word of God.” That line impactedmy spirit in an extraordinary way because I had heard God’s Word being preached priorto this time and it didn’t minister to me as this one did. After the program, I called inbecause I wanted the life of abundance that was talked about in the devotional, and Igot it. My life is on a high pedestal now. Glory to God!

The Messenger Angel Destroys Cyst

I started feeling a strong pain around my lower abdomen which was later diagnosed to

be a cyst. I was advised by the doctor to either start a treatment that will last for months

or go for a surgery, and I made up my mind to go for the surgery. While preparing for

surgery, I met a partner of Rhapsody of Realities who studied the day’s devotional with

me and I had a prayer of agreement with her. The next day, I went to the hospital to

book appointment for the operation, but was told after series of test that the cyst had

disappeared. Hallelujah!

The Struggle Is Over

I came in contact with Rhapsody of Realities through Radio. The message was different

from every other message that I had heard, on the Word of God. The words were so

powerful; I learnt that suffering and struggling are unnecessary for the one in Christ. I

called in after the program and was led to Christ by the partner at the other end of the

line, and was also sent a hard copy of the devotional. Now, I’m committed to the Word

of God.
