BITS and BYTES

Inaugural function of Bits and Bytes took place on 30th August 2016, Tuesday, at Sangam

Parisar The function started at 10 a.m. by lighting of lamp, which was done by all the

teachers present of physics and computer science department. Dr. Pushpa Bindal, TIC of

Physics Department and Dr. Vandana Gupta, TIC of Computer Science Department address

the students asking them to plan activities throughout the year and motivating them to

participate in all events organized by society in large number.

Saraswati Vandana was then presented by Ms. Mamta student of Computer Science

2nd year and badges were given to all the office bearers of PhysCom society

2) Ms. Sneha Yadav - Vice President BSc(H) Computer Science 3rd year

3) Ms. Parnika Tandon - Secretary BSc(H) Computer Science 2nd year

4) Ms. Shatakshi Chamoli - Secretary BSc(H) Physics 2nd year

5) Ms. Ridhi Goel- Joint Secretary BSc(H) Computer Science 2nd year

6) Ms. Kanchan - Joint Secretary BSc(H) Physics 2nd year

7) Ms. Sapna - Treasurer BSc(H) Computer year Science 2nd

Following events were organized in which students participated from both the departments

1. QUIZ : Each team consist of 2 participants. In Selection round out of 11 teams 6

were selected for Main rounds. The main round is divided into three levels

GK and

ENTERTAINMENT.

The first prize goes to winning team of Ms. Sakshi Dogra and Ms. Shraddha Yadav of

BSc(H) Computer Science 3rd year.The second prize was begged by the team of Ms. Pragati

and Ms. Aditi of Physics (H) 2nd year

2. POSTER : Topic of the event was : Computer or Physics in everyday life , Judges

were Dr. Pushpa Bindal from Physics department and Ms. Shalini Sharma from

Computer Science department. Total 31 teams participated , consisting of two

members ,who were instructed to complete the poster in exactly 1 hour time limit

Winners: The first prize goes to Ms. Ridhi and Ms. Nidhi BSc(H) Computer Science 2nd

yearThe second prize was given to team of Ms. Pragati and Ms. Aditi of Physics (H) 2nd

year

The function came to an end by the prize distribution ceremony, congratulating the students

on their achievements and wishing them for the successful organization of the same
