My previous roles in HM Forces, aviation industry as a regulator have required me to work in multi-cultural and multi-national environments as Engineer, Supervisor, inspector, surveyor, manager, team member, team leader and trainer. I have also worked with various worldwide regulatory authorities i.e. DCA’s of Malaysia, Oman and Kenya, BVI, FI, Bermuda, TCI, CICAA, Transport Canada, FAA, ECCAA and EASA where I worked as team member and leader on MIST / MAST inspections within Europe, USA and Canada. Where diplomacy was important having to deliver difficult and sensitive messages in the right way. In the UK CAA I successfully redesigned, developed and delivered the Airworthiness Surveyor training which resulted in a much improved effective competence assessed training programme As Head of Quality and Risk, (a new role to establish group wide systems and a good working relationship with the EASA Standardisation Directorate) my established organisation and leadership skills were used to good effect in influencing and driving cultural change within the
