AnyWho: Answering Your “Who” Questions

What is AnyWho?• AnyWho is an open access (freely available) website available
at www.anywho.com that can be accessed on any internet browser.• It is a directory of people, places, and businesses in the
United States.
What does it do?
• AnyWho searches for phone numbers and addresses of people and businesses in the United States.• Searching the White Pages on AnyWho will help you find
people by name, address, or phone number.• Searching the Yellow Pages on AnyWho will help you find a
business by name or phone number.• A reverse lookup feature is available to find out who just
called you.
What information is on AnyWho?• The information found on AnyWho is received from Intelius,
Inc., an information commerce company that provides data about people (http://corp.intelius.com/)• The information in the White Pages comes from Public
Records, Publicly Available Information, and Commercial Records.• The information in the Yellow Pages of AnyWho comes from
www.yp.com, the Yellow Pages official website.• The information found in these two areas is regularly
updated.
How it can help you
• Finding friends that moved away: their new phone numbers and addresses• Verifying where someone lives• Finding the phone number for a local restaurant you want to
go to• Determining if the number that just called you is an old
friend, your doctor, or a telemarketer
Using the White Pages
Click on the White Pages tab at the top of the screen
Using the White Pages to Search by Name
Type in the last name of the person you are looking for
Click “By Name”

Type in the person’s first name and location, if available

Click Find to show the results
Results Page
• The results of your search will be shown on the next screen.• They will include the person’s full name, street address, city,
state, zip code, and phone number.• If you click on the person’s name, a map will be shown with
the option to get directions to the address listed.

Tips for Searching the White Pages
• AnyWho lists a few search tips on the site:• Get a wider range of results by leaving the first name field blank• Use formal first names that might be found on legal documents• Include the first name, middle initial, and location information if
searching for someone with a common last name• Try using only one name with hyphenated last names• Add more information if possible to help narrow a search.
Using the Yellow Pages
To search for a business, click on the Yellow Pages tab at the top of the screen

To search by name, click “By Name” and enter the business’ name and location in the fields

organization• The address of the
organization• The organization’s phone

organization’s website• A description of the
organization if available
Using the Yellow Pages to Search by Phone Number
To search by phone number, click “By Phone Number” and enter the business’ phone number and area code in the field
Using the Reverse Lookup
To search for a phone number that called you, click the Reverse Lookup tab at the top of the screen

Note: Cell phone numbers are not included in this lookup
