We will offer instructions on how to search for a used car because providing

car value is the primary purpose of Kelly Blue Book.

The basic features of this resource are free.

Start by opening a web browser and typing in kbb.com

From the home page click the Price New/Used Cars button:

This is highlighted below

From here you can select if the car is new, used, or certified.

You are able to pick from the entire list of makes they have.

After choosing the make and condition you are able to pick the model of the

car.

For this presentation we will look at a used car. When you select used the

display changes and you are now able to select the year.

We will pick 2002 from the list of years

Please select Acura as the make and then click on CL for the model.

After selecting the car you want to look at you will click the next button

circled below.

Next you will need to choose the style for the car; pretty much any car you

pick will require you to decide this. We will pick the first option, 3.2 Coupe

2D

Of note we can see that Kelly Blue Book has assumed the miles on the car based on

the year of the vehicle. It is circled in red.

Next you are allowed to decide the powertrain and options for this vehicles.

Other vehicles may also have other feature areas for you to pick. Kelley Blue

Book automatically picks standard features for the vehicle. We will click

choose price type and leave the standard selected powertrain and options in

place.

Here you can decide who you will buy the vehicle from. We are going to

select Buy from a Dealer.

Note: Dealers also sell used cars in as is condition but are responsible if the engine

or transmission go out soon after purchase.

After selecting Buy from a Dealer you will be given the following information.

Click Get used car price.

You will be provided with the following information, most importantly the

price.
