Research Paper

• Thesis: Photography has always captured life and life events and goes all the way back to the 1700's. Equipment and techniques are a big part of taking beautiful photos. Photography also opens up plenty of available careers for people who are struggling to find a job.• Two Facts: Photography is there for many life events. Photographers

are usually self-employed. Photography opens up a lot of good careers.• Life events, Techniques, and Careers

Life Events

• Photography was around throughout many important events in our history.• Photography was even around during the difficult and good times.Example of the first cameras. Example of cameras now.

Techniques and equipment

•Techniques are very useful when it comes to photography, but I’ve learned its best to learn on your own.•I learned how to edit pictures and new poses for clients.

Careers

•Most photographers are self-employed. Some use photography as a side job.•If you start out small, your clients will spread the word and your business may grow.

Physical Product

• For my product I made a physical portfolio to show all the work I’ve done and what I have learned. I learned so many techniques from my mentor. In my product I showed her work and mine. Photography is all about how much you put into it. A lot of work pays off.

Challenges

• Finding enough research• Getting a session with my mentor• Being confident in my own pictures• What changed? My three main subjects changed.• What was unexpected? Not having enough research on photography.• What would you do differently? Get started on my paper earlier.

Mentor Reflection• My mentor is great because she is very supportive around my

schedule and likes to help as much as possible. She has a lot of creative ideas.• She taught me how she edits her pictures and how she deals with

her clients. She also showed how to conduct a photography session.
