Action Action LearningLearning
An important directive of PC: be PRO-ACTIVEAction = TO DO things (not worry so much about making mistakes) - quite uncomfortable for people trained to be passive (consumers)
One way of LISTENING in an active way is by drawing MIND MAPS... & we advise that you start NOW to listen & make notes in this way
Multi-function as Art in your surroundings
an important suggestion:!! MAKE mind maps of all these conferences!
& let your artist out ...* PLAY with
them *
? ? ? ? ? ? An important directive of PC: be PRO-ACTIVEIt is also much more active if you ask LOTS of QUESTIONS > helps to make connections(you can ask them in the chat or make notes > then transfer to your blog)
? ? ? ? ? ? leave spaces
in your mind maps

It is the opposite of what they teach us in school.Education looks at each thing separately & highlights them, ignoring the connections between them.
Permaculture makes the connections ...... because when you have the connections you can feed the chicken with the tree.”

because it is totally contra-culturalat the moment

Local Agenda 21 Humanity stands at a defining moment in history.
www.un.org
We are confronted with a perpetuation of disparities between & within nations, a worsening of poverty, hunger, ill health & illiteracy & a continuing deterioration of
the ecosystems on which we depend for our well-being.
However, integration of environment & development concerns& greater attention to them, will lead to the fulfilment of basic needs, improved living standards for all, better protected & managed ecosystems & a safer, more prosperous future.
You canfind it in
Cumbre Mundial de Rio 1992
Agenda 21 LocalNo nation can achieve this on its own;
but together we can - in a global partnership
for sustainable development."
Sustainable development is that which satisfies the needs of the presents without affecting the ability of future generations to satisfy their own needs. (United Nations, Bruntdland Comission)
1. United Nations, Bruntdland Comission
Sustainable development is that which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to satisfy their own
needs.
It has two key concepts:a) The concept of "needs", in particular the
basic needs of the poor of the world, to which we need to give priority
&
b) The idea of “limits" imposed by the state of technology & social organization & the capacity of
the environment.
in order to meet present & future needs.
3. The Social Jump, chapter 7
The objective of the environmental policy of the social jump is to progress gradually towards human
sustainable development,
understood as the amplification of the capacities of the population, through the development of
social capital, in order to satisfy the needs of present generations,
through a prudent management of natural wealth, & at the same time
keeping open the options for the well-being of future generations.
4. Bill Mollison, Designers Manual
A system is sustainable
when it creates / stores
more energy / matter in its lifetime
than what it needs
to create & maintain itself.
A sustainable system produces all the energy & resources it needs for its maintenance & growth. The excess is “the yield”.
5. Harvest Only Sunshine
An ideal sustainable society would be one where
all the energy was obtained from the actual & direct contribution of the sun
& all non-renewable resources were recycled.
