List of important health programs in Bangladesh.

Focusing on the current job opportunities in Bangladesh , what is my plan to develop my future career.

Health programs: Q1. Why do we basically need health

programs?

Health programs are to improve the health status of a country, which results in higher life expectancy and healthier workers and obviously healthier workers are more productive.

Q2. Why do the government and the researchers care so much about the health

programs? Why do we care about it?

Because the government want to increase the standard of living. We have already mentioned that healthier workers are more productive. They play a vital role in our economy. As a result,

our human capital increases so the GDP/L increases the income increases so basically the standard of living increases.

If we take a look at the countries whose standard of living is high, we can

obviously see the impact of the sound health.

Main Challenges Of HNPSDP

Low rate of deliveries by skilled birth attendant. High rates of neonatal deaths, malnutrition and

micronutrient deficiencies. Emerging and re-emerging diseases and impact of

climate change. Rise in non communicable diseases (NCD) including

cardio-vascular diseases, diabetes, cancer and injury Diversification of family planning (FP) service and

high rate of discontinuation and unmet needs. Ineffective urban primary health care service delivery. Low utilization of public health facilities by the poor.

Development activities of HPNSDP are being implemented by MOHFW, DGHS, DGFP and other agencies through 32 operational plans. World Bank and JICA are providing credit and grants; whereas other DPs (DFID, SIDA, USAID, CIDA, EC, AusAID, Kfw, WHO, UNICEF, UNFPA, GIZ, UNAIDS, GFATM, GAVI, etc.) are providing grants. Total DP contribution to the development budget is about 61.29%.
