UNHYGIENIC PRACTICE IN FOOD HANDLINGUnhygienic practices in food handling become a common

phenomenon in the Bangladesh food industry. Countless restaurants, fast food outlets are cooking, baking and processing foods in extremely unhealthy environments.

Causes : diarrhoeal diseases as well as malnutrition

Use of Formalin in Foods• Formalin use in foods is a crucial problem

in Bangladesh currently. Supermarkets openly sell fruits, fishes and vegetables that have been treated with formalin to keep them fresh. This widespread use of formalin in various foods is considered to be gravely dangerous for public health.

• Causes : Cancer, especially the lung cancer

USE OF TOXIC COLOURS IN FOODUnauthorized food Colours, especially textile dyes are used in food, manufacturing and processing in Bangladesh

Mentionable that, people of Bangladesh love sweet based foods and some people are even addicted to this.

Use of Toxic Colours in Food• Generally, these harmful colours are used to

make foods attractive, ‘appealing and appetizing’• Research suggests that the toxic colours in food

can create indigestions, allergies, asthmas and even cancer

• Artificial colours can also risk the human body for sleeping disorders, vomiting, diarrhoea, heart diseases

Traffic Accident• Road Traffic Accident is a major

problem in Bangladesh. Every day many people are being a victim of a road accident either because of careless driving, not obeying traffic rules and regulations.

Probable Solutions• Population:-Better Education -Making People Aware of Family Planning• Food Safety:-Policy-makers can build and maintain adequate food systems and infrastructures.-Food handlers and consumers can know the food they use.-Assessment by Government on food safety. • Road Safety :-Improving training in driving school-Campaign about road and traffic safety-Improving road condition

Differentiate disease from

sickness and illness• Sickness is when a part of the body is

broken or malfunctioning.  Any medical diagnosis, or psychiatric malady is a sickness.

• Illness, refers to our emotional, psychological, and/or spiritual reactions to our sickness.
