Park School Campus Notes / Activities October 26, 2012
Picture Re-Take Day: In case you missed them the first time, Lifetouch photography will be back November 8th to provide a second chance for 2012-13 school photographs. Please mark the date as more information will be sent home as we enter November. Attendance Week Results: Park Campus School has been recognized by the Lake County Regional Office of Education for being in the top ten Lake County schools for percentage of students attending school during attendance week for all large elementary buildings. The actual placement (1st, 2nd, 3rd etc.) of the schools will be announced at the Top Ten Ceremony on January 16, 2013. 8th Grade Parents: Grayslake Central High School is requiring all current 8th graders to take the EXPLORE high school placement test on Saturday, October 27, 2012. Students should arrive at the GCHS Field House at 8am with a calculator and two sharpened pencils. Testing will be completed around 11:30. A make-up testing date is scheduled for November 1st. We've begun to receive questions about 8th grade graduation. The tentative date for 8th grade graduation is Wednesday, May 29th. Much more information to come as 2012 turns to 2013. Park School Pumpkin Decorating Contest
RULES
• Decorate a pumpkin like a children’s storybook character.
• One pumpkin per family.
• Bring your pumpkin to school by Monday, October 29th.
• NO carved pumpkins will be accepted.
• Pumpkins should be no larger than the size of a basketball.
• Put character or book name AND your family name on a note card with your pumpkin.
• The top three pumpkins will win a prize. Winners will have
lunch with Mr. Melamed or Mr. Dinsmore and play Wii games.
