LESSONS FOR LIVING
I SEE YOU LOOKING AT YOUR CHILDREN, WONDERING WHAT THEIR LIVES WILL BE.
IF YOU VERIFY SOME ANSWERS THEN THEIR FUTURE YOU MIGHT SEE.
HAVE YOU TAUGHT THEM TO BE TRUTHFUL?
HAVE YOU TAUGHT THEM TO BE KIND? HAVE YOU GIVEN THEM THE WISDOM
NEEDED TO BE COLOR BLIND?
HAVE YOU TAKEN TIME TO TELL THEM WHAT A MIRACLE LIFE IS?
HOW TO BE AWARE OF NATURE, SHARE THE BEAUTY THAT IT GIVES?
HAVE YOU TAUGHT THEM HOW IMPORTANT
IT IS TO HAVE RESPECT FOR ONE ANOTHER? TO BE GRATEFUL, NOT BE PRIDEFUL
WHEN GOOD FORTUNE YOU DISCOVER?
DO YOU LET THEM KNOW YOU LOVE THEM IN A WAY THAT LEAVES NO DOUBT, SO THEY KNOW THAT IS ONE THING
THAT THEY WILL NEVER BE WITHOUT?
WE LIKE TO THINK WE'VE DONE OUR BEST. SOMETIMES THAT'S VERY TRUE.
CAN YOU SAY 'YES' TO ALL MY QUESTIONS? I WILL LEAVE THAT UP TO YOU.
I HOPE YOUR ANSWER IS AFFIRMATIVE, FOR THEN I KNOW THAT YOU WILL SEE
A FUTURE FILLED WITH HAPPINESS LIKE IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE.
FROM THE PRIMARY YEARS
ACTIVE LEARNERS, INDEPENDENT CREATORS
Learning by Doing
`What we learn becomes a part of who we are.’
The enthusiastic learners of Grade P1 created an artifact depicting life cycle of a butterfly where the learners acquired knowledge about how all living things go through a process of change. The learners inquired into the different stages of life cycle and the hands-on activity of cutting, drawing, coloring and assembling had further strengthened their learning.

ideas ,feelings and beliefs.

While performing this activity, the learners seemed to be great thinkers, and showcased their self-management skills. Besides , learners also made shapes with the beads.
]

Message to the Future
Peep into Future
Its 400,000 years into the future. Mankind destroyed itself around 2025 when a planet wide nuclear
war broke out. Every superpower in the world sought out to assert its dominance and evidently, the
best way to do that was to drop a ballistic missile on a major city. As the war went on, the population
started to dwindle.
Eventually, the entire planet went into chaos. Like a severe case of schizophrenia, Mother Nature
went crazy. The Antarctic was burning. The Deserts were freezing. The plains were flooded. All the
major cities were oozing with radiation. Those who managed to survive the onslaught were then
greeted literally by breathtaking radiation which sent them to the afterlife. The sky, which used to be
sky blue or greyish was now a depressing, sad shade of green which would manage to remove the
smile from even the happiest person alive. Eventually, not a single living being was left alive and the
planet was left in the same state as it was a billion years ago, completely lonely with no one to give
it company. Well, aside from the polluted environment and the modern grim reaper that was
radiation.
Now, 400,000 years into the future, the dust has settled. The radiation has cleared and has left
behind mutated species of organisms such as giant mushrooms, purple trees and bushes the size
of an SUV. All the smoke, pollution and chemicals in the atmosphere have dissipated and repainted
it deep bright blue. Every single concrete structure built by man has been brought to the ground by
nature’s fury in the form of typhoons, hurricanes and earthquakes. Not marble, nor the gilded
monuments that people thought would etch their names in history could survive the wrath of time
and as much as Shakespeare may have wished, not even his powerful rhyme could survive
humanities implosion. Even plastic, which people thought would last forever has become one with
the soil. All that is left of humanities mark is tiny, broken pieces of glass that act as a sign of our
presence to any future intelligent species that may be lucky enough to control the planet. If only they
could realize before us that the earth can survive without us but we cannot survive without the earth,
then maybe they don’t suffer from the same fate that we did.

Brown eyes
Her eyes didn't sparkle. They were like illuminated sunbeams, warm & bright on a winter day, broken by the clouds ,radiating through a bottle of bourbon. It could've been half full, it could've been half empty. Some days her eyes are dark. A caliginous galaxy buried deep, A dept. that you cannot ever reach. There are no gold streaks, but somehow, they’re still enchanting. To them it's just brown eyes. To me, they’re the scent of earthy wet mud, they're the taste of a hot chocolate cake, they're the feeling of a cordial hug. They don't sparkle, they gleam.

DELHI- A Gas Chamber
Delhiites, I plead in front of you to lend me your ears,
The pollution in our city is tarnishing the beauty,
which is admired by all enthusiasts and dears,
Isn’t it funny how we are just slowly and slowly killing ourselves?
By setting up huge industrial buildings as if they are our realms.
The neighbors of our city are burning crops like rice stubbles,
Leaving the pollutants led by the wind to enter in our small world and trouble.
We all go for drives to avoid the pollution without really realizing their impact,
The vehicular emissions are ruining our lungs as a matter of fact.
The stagnant winds in this chilly season lock the pollutants in the air,
Which in turn causes smog and to the ones who are concerned, it isn’t fair!
So, what can we do? How can we contribute?
To pay back to the capital city that has done so much for us, maybe with a tribute.
I wonder if we could ever get the privilege of inhaling fresh air,
Would this be the end of the human existence,
would it not be possible to encounter our heirs?
The thought of this frightens me to the core,
I yet strive to see the world and so much more.
So, to avoid shattering the dreams of so many others,
Let’s work towards the solution to this cause, my fellow sisters and brothers.
Let us start by carpooling with our friends to avoid the harmful effects,
As well as aiding the government to eliminate any defects.
Drastic steps should be taken indeed,
Apprising the neighbors to provide the crop they are burning to maybe solely feed.
There are innumerable methods to prevent this from happening,
Only if we ensure to go to any extent to stop this from dampening.
Well I am just a teenager, concerned about our future,
Who desires to make an impact just like Greta Thunberg, to amend this wound with a suture.

“GOOGLE CAN BRING YOU BACK 100,000 ANSWERS,A LIBRARIAN CAN BRING YOU BACK THE RIGHT ONE.”-NEIL GAIMAN
Many schools are in the transition stage from passive learning environments into active ones. There is a significant shift away from the typical classroom overhead teaching, beginning with facts, ideas and then moving to applications. They construct their own meanings or create something while processing the available information intellectually. Collaborative practices in education represent an attempt to transform education into a community of learners where each member is considered capable of achieving academic success. Collaboration is based on shared goals, a shared vision, and a climate of trust and respect. The results of the collaboration are more powerful and significant than the results of their individual efforts. Teachers and teacher-librarians get opportunities to work and connect with each other in meaningful ways by enhancing student achievement which is the basic goal of any educational institution. Teacher-librarians get a new entree into the classroom curriculum. Librarians are designing a variety of outreach programs to work more closely with teachers to integrate information skills into the curriculum. One of the biggest roles that teacher librarians have is to ensure that information literacy strategies are embedded across the curriculum. These outcomes are taught to all students through the development of an effective collaboratively planned information literacy program. Added to this partnership is the student learner in recommending strategies, teaching use of technology connecting it to the curriculum and instructing students and teacher in optimal information seeking methods make the librarian an important component in curriculum development.
