Dear Parent and Guardians,

As stated in earlier correspondence, the second last school week is a special week

for our Year 6 students. In particular they are looking forward to the following

events.

Thursday 6th

of June: Y6 Completion Assembly

(9:30-11:00am in the NIST Theatre)

Thursday 6th

of June: Y6 Completion Dinner

(5:30-9:00pm at the JW Marriott Bangkok Hotel)

The Year 6 Completion Assembly

We cordially invite all parents to The Year 6 Completion Assembly which will

start at 9:30am and finish at approximately 12:00 midday with coffee and cake

served after the event. Year 6 students need to be at school no later than 8:30am.

Students will go up to their Homeroom to prepare for the Completion Assembly.

We are expecting ALL of the Year 6 students to come to school looking smart and

in their school uniform.

Girls: Pale Blue school shirt, a navy blue bottom, white socks and closed in shoes

(trainers etc).

Boys: Pale Blue school shirt, a navy blue bottom, white socks and closed in shoes

(trainers etc).

Following the ceremony we will cut the Completion Ceremony Cake. All Year 6

students, parents and staff will be able to enjoy a piece of cake and drink. TheYear 6 students will then go home with their parents to prepare for the dinner and

dance.

The Year 6 Completion Dinner

The Year 6 Completion Dinner will take place at the JW Marriott Hotel Bangkok

(Soi 2, Sukhumvit Rd). The evening starts at 5:30pm and finishes at 9:00pm.

Students should start arriving at the Marriott Hotel no earlier than 5:20pm.

The NIPTA committee have organized a 30 minute photography session for

student photos to be taken at the hotel starting at 5:30pm. In the following

week, students will receive some framed photographs of the ceremony

and dinner with the compliments of NIPTA. We greatly appreciate the

support of NIPTA in funding the printing and framing of the photographs.

The dress code for the dinner is smart casual. The students will be shown

photographs of the range of clothing that is suitable for this event.

The students will be required to pay a fee of1150 baht for the dinner. This

needs to be paid to the NIST Accounts Office by Tuesday, June 4th. They

will be served a special menu (food that the students will like) which

includes both Western, Vegetarian and Thai dishes.

The evening dinner at the Marriott Hotel, is specifically for the students

and their teachers, therefore we request that parents drop off their child

/children, leave the venue no later than 6.00pm returning to pick their

child/children at 9.00pm. We do require that you provide transport for

your child to and from the hotel.

NIPTA have also organised a special deal for parents who would like to dine

at the Marriott Hotel on this evening. The Marriott are kindly offering 15%

discount to NIST parents in Tsu, Nami and Marriott Caf. Please book

directly with the hotel mentioning that you are a NIST parent. We suggest

contacting your Class Parent first, as people are breaking into groups and

going to different restaurants.

As it is a school day on Friday, we ask that you are punctual in picking up

your child at 9.00pm. The person picking up your child should come into

the Marriott Hotel Foyer to collect them as we will not be allowing

students to leave the building unaccompanied. If on Friday morning your

child needs a short sleep-in, we will leave this to your discretion.
