Complications follow the return ofanother nephew, Jonathan, and hishenchman Dr. Herman Einstein,who’s said to be a plastic surgeon.Einstein’s latest surgery has turnedthe long-lost Jonathan into a deadringer for Boris Karloff, the actor whoplayed the monster in the originalFrankenstein movie. As it turns out,both Jonathan and Einstein are homi-cidal maniacs — Jonathan an eagerone and Einstein a reluctant one.
A third Brewster nephew,Mortimer, seems normal in compari-son to his brothers and his aunts.Mortimer, however, is dissatisfiedwith his job as a newspaper theatercritic, and his discovery of the oddactivities in the Brewster house dis-rupt his relationship with ElaineHarper, who lives next door to theBrewster aunts with her father, apreacher. As it happens, a cemeteryseparates the two homes.
Throw in a gaggle of cops whoseem incapable of detecting what’sright in front of them, much less the
rising body count, and you have themakings of a hilarious evening of the-ater.
The cast includes ACAC veteransas well as several newcomers. PamelaCounts and Juanita Quillen play thesisters, Abby and Martha. TreyStidham is Mortimer, Greg Edwardsis Teddy and Hunter Swiney isJonathan. Newcomer Kelli Fraleyplays Elaine, Mortimer’s love inter-est, with newcomer David Morangellodoubling as her father, the Rev. Dr.Harper, and tough cop Rooney. GlennGannaway is Jonathan’s sidekick Dr.Einstein. Another newcomer,Matthew Sturgill, doubles as Mr.Gibbs and the cop O’Hara. JanetHampton and Glenda Flanary playthe cops Brophy and Klein. ClydeQuillen plays Witherspoon, the super-intendent of Happy Dale Sanitarium.Juanita Quillen and Swiney alsodirect.

Community theatre troupe auditions to be held beginning Sunday at The Inn
Local community theatre troupe,The You’ll Never Work in TheatreAgain Players! will be auditioningactors and backstage help for the won-derful family comedy PLAY ON byRick Abbot.
Performances are slated for earlyAugust and being performed in multi-ple locations across Wise County asbenefits for local supporters of theArts including the Lyric TheaterRestoration Project, Wise JAMS andPro-Art!
Auditions will be held at The Inn atWise located on Main Street in Wise,on Sunday, May 15, from 5– 7 p.m., andon Monday, May 16, 7– 9 p.m.
