Norton Lions Clubestablishes Leo’s Closet

To honor the life of Leo Bledsoe, a student atNorton Elementary School, who recently passedaway, the Norton Lions Club has established Leo’sCloset.

Leo’s Closet is available at the Norton Elementaryand Middle School and J.I. Burton High School.

The closet is stocked with personal hygiene itemssuch as deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrushes, bodywash, shampoo and other products needed to main-tain good personal hygiene. Students may go to theoffice or the school nurse to obtain the items theyneed. The items are for the students to take home anduse. The Norton Lions Club will restock Leo’s Closetas needed.

City offers Adopt-A-Truck

The city of Norton, in conjunction with the GreatAmerican Cleanup, offers the Adopt-A-Truck andLarge Item Pick-Up programs to residents free ofcharge. This year the Adopt-A-Truck runs April 21-May 1.

Residents may have large appliances, bulky furni-ture and other items transported from their property tothe proper disposal location. For large loads of trashand tree limbs, citizens may make special arrange-ments for a city truck to be parked overnight at theirresidence. A driver will return the following morning totake the load to the City Shop.
