When there are major changes in your child's health? It could impact their school attendance or performance, so please let me know. I am a good resource to let teachers know how something might affect your child in school.

6th Grade Parents: All students starting 7th grade must have updated Tdap and Meningococcal immunizations before school starts. These are the first required shots since kindergarten. You can take your student to their doctor this school year or to the health department.

Halloween Surprise

Hyde Park staff decided to surprise the students by dressing up in 80’s

garb for the holiday.

Counselor’s Corner

A big thank you goes out to The Just One Project for always helping out our needy families. They were able to assist 24 homeless families this year for Christmas and are always willing to help if any of our families are in need. Their partnership is truly valued.

The counseling office has been hard at work with small counseling groups,

classroom lessons, and completing academic plans. Please review your child's academic plan by

logging on to your parent account at www.campusportal.ccsd.net or on the new Campus Portal app.

Select your student and click on Academic Planner on the left. Click the “Next” button on the top right,

and the academic planner will be visible. Once you have looked over the plan, please approve the plan

by the checkbox next to “approve the Academic Plan” and click the Save button. Counselors work with

your child to develop an academic plan that sets them up for success moving forward to high school.

Also, the counselors are offering the PSAT February 28, 2019 for $10. Please see Ms. Shavinsky for

details if you would like to participate. Only 20 slots are available.
