Written by the playwright of The Odd Couple and Brighton Beach Memoirs, Rumors opened on Broadway in 1988 and ran for 535 performances. At a large, Sneden's Landing townhouse; the Deputy Mayor of New York has just shot himself. Though only a flesh wound, four couples are about to experience a severe attack of farce. Gathering for their tenth wedding anniversary, the host lies bleeding in the other room and his wife is nowhere in sight. His lawyer, Ken Gorman and wife Chris (Wes Taylor & Samantha Henry) must get "the story" straight before the other guests arrive. As the confusions and miscommunications mount, the evening spins off into classic farcical hilarity. The other couples to arrive for the anniversary party are Claire and Lenny Ganz (Aeryn Williams & Patrick Davis), Cookie and Ernie Cusack (Alicia Creger & m. James Foust) and Cassie and Glen Cooper (Laurie Dye & Edd Griswold). Officer Welch (Bob Huber) and Officer Pudney (Richele Reynolds) arrive at the townhouse and are also interested in getting the story straight. Directed by Jim Toth, with assistant director, Edd Griswold, and producer, Barb Pace, Rumors will run August 8 - 11 & 15 - 17. Tickets will go on sale to Benefactors on July 22, to Angels on July 23, and to Patrons and Single Patrons on July 24. Tickets for the general public are $12 and will go on sale July 29. Rumors is presented through special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc. Auditions Scheduled for Jekyll & Hyde, The Musical by Aeryn Williams Jekyll & Hyde, the Musical is a thriller based on the novel The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson. Originally conceived for the stage by Frank Wildhorn and Steve Cuden, it features music by Wildhorn, a book by Leslie Bricusse and lyrics by Wildhorn, Bricusse and Cuden. A wonderfully written, powerfully scored, Tony nominee, it promises to be great fun and great entertainment. It is, however, an adult-themed musical with no children's roles. This show contains dark themes, some bawdy dance, a few minor expletives, and several murders violently portrayed. A devoted man of science, Dr. Henry Jekyll is convinced the cure for his father’s mental illness lies in the separation of man’s evil nature from his good.
