OUTDOOR CINEMA NIGHT AT THE CUMNOCK OVAL

Thank you to the team at Uniting Family Referral Services in Dubbo for their continued support for our

later date next year. Thank you for your understanding.

Tomorrow, we will be running our inaugural Inter-House Swimming Carnival with students and staff

the students. Well done Abby Armstrong, Chase Rodwell, Austin Bruce, Macey Armstrong, Angus and

CAPTAINS’ SPEECHES

Nervous tension built throughout last week as the Year 5 students

prepared to deliver their leadership speeches to the school and

wider community at the Assembly last Friday. We were proud of

each of the students and the many leadership ideas and initiatives

they hope to deliver in 2019. Thank you again to all the parents,

grandparents and friends for supporting our students. We look

forward to the many leadership roles that will be undertaken by all

of the Year 6 students in 2019. Congratulations to our new School

Captains: Emily Strahan and Jonathan, and Vice Captains: Molly

Duffy and Ella Lewis. Well done again!

On Tuesday 18th December, Senior Constable Mitch Christie will be delivering a practical bike safety

session as part of our current PDHPE Bike Safety program. Please support this initiative by transporting bikes

and helmets to school in preparation for the afternoon session in the school grounds.

safely in our community.

MRS MCFARLAND’S SEWING SCHOOL

Mrs McFarland has been the driving force for our Sewing School this term, along with our community

Grandfriends, Mrs Di Strahan and Mrs Jan Gibson. The students paraded their creations at our Presentation

evening and this initiative has been an outstanding success for all involved. Thank you again to Kathy

Williams and Jasmin Boys from Spotlight in Orange who have sponsored this learning project for our school

this Term! We are looking forward to entering these items in the Cumnock Show Needlework section next

year and implementing another sewing opportunity in 2019!

A final Newsletter for the year will be sent home next week.
