Dear Parents,
Belonging Project
Tomorrow we will be participating in a social activity to celebrate social inclusion week. We will visited by work-ers from Social Futures and Northcott who have teamed up to provide an opportunity to start a conver-sation with children to share ideas and encouragement in an environment where each student has the oppor-tunity to flourish. Events will start at 11.30am in the 4/5/6 room.
A letter is attached to further explain what tomorrow’s visit will entail. The main aims are:
1. Recognise and celebrate everyone’s unique differences
2. Acknowledge the need we all have to feel included.
3. Build on students’ knowledge of disability and diversity.
4. Support student learning around acceptance and creating a place where everybody belongs.

A fun day was had with our new kindy children Sam, Savanna and Hailee on our Australia dress up day.
We tiptoed through Shark Bay, climbed Mount Warn-ing, balanced on the edge of cliffs, wrestled crocs, went through the Habour tunnel and threw spears.
Afterward we read Possum Magic, made Vegemite sandwiches and ate lamingtons!
K/1 built Aboriginal humpys using bark, branches, leaves and natural resources to tie in with our Australia unit.
