Electronic Giving at Our Lady of Grace Church Our Lady of Grace Church wants to remind you that we offer electronic giving (EFT, Electronic Funds Transfer) as a way to automate your regular offering donation. Electronic giving offers convenience for individual congregation members and provides much needed donation consistency for our congregation. When travel, illness or other circumstances prevent you from attending services, the EFT program will allow your offerings to continue on an uninterrupted basis.

There are two ways you can set up Electronic Funds Transfer:

1. Online Giving which allows you to set up your donations online.

2. Recurring Giving which allows the church office to set up your donations.

Online Giving lets you set up an automatic donation plan, change your donation plan, make a one-time donation or view your online donation history. To set up an automatic donation plan, visit the olgchurch.org website and click on the “Donations” tab. Locate the “Donate Here” button and set up your recurring giving schedule or one time donation. The first time you give, you will select a password that will enable you to log in at any time and make changes to your giving or view your complete online giving history.

Recurring Giving lets you send your support whether you are here or not. Once a month (on the 15th) your charitable contribution will be drafted from your checking or savings account or charged to your credit card. To sign up for the Recurring Giving Program, go to the olgchurch.org website, locate the “Donate Here” button, click on the “Set up ACH Authorization Form” download and print the form, complete the information and return the form to the church office for processing. Forms can also be found at the church entrances and the church office.

As you contemplate future contributions, please consider electronic giving as a way to keep your donations current and consistent.

Please congratulate them and keep them in your prayers as they begin their spiritual walk as fully initiated Christian adults.

We Really Need Van Drivers! This is a great opportunity to volunteer! We provide a ride to the 11:00 AM Mass for those parishioners who have no other way to attend church. Van drivers must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid North Carolina driver’s license. At present you would be expected to drive once or twice every three months. If you are interested, contact Chris Frank at 336-315-8761 or email [email protected] for more information.

Night Shelter Ministry Grateful thanks to the OLG Originals Team for serving dinner at the Greensboro Urban Ministry this past Wednesday, May 7th. Your kindness and good work is appreciated by the residents of the shelter! Special thanks to our new volunteers, especially our youth, and to all who donated bread, fruit, desserts and money for the lasagna dinner. We are thankful for everyone’s support of this vital ministry to the poor of our community! The Knights of Columbus will serve the next dinner on June 4th and the OLG Men’s Softball Team will serve the July 2nd dinner.

Madrigal Singers to Perform at OLG On Friday, May 30th at 7:00 PM we will welcome the Grimsley High School Madrigal Singers to present an evening of music for us. This concert will be an encore of their annual Masters in the Hall showcase concert. The Madrigals, under the direction of Mr. Marshall Johnson, enjoy the learning and execution of the grand music from the Renaissance Period. The Madrigal Singers are a select mixed chamber group open by competitive audition to all advanced singers. Their repertoire is almost exclusively a cappella. As part of the choir, students craft their own performance costumes reflective of the Renaissance period, from items they select and purchase. Mark your calendar and plan to join us on May 30th. Soli Deo Gloria – Andrew O’Connor

Moving to the New School Building As we anticipate the completion of the construction of our new school building we are beginning to plan our move for the week of June 9th.

We will need the entire week to get everything moved and settled so we will close down the campus for any meetings that week, beginning on Monday, June 9th. Please keep in mind if you have any meetings scheduled that week they will need to be taken off-campus.

Moving is always hectic and we want to make sure it goes smoothly and that safety is put first for everyone. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you all for your patience! If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the church office!

Our Lady of Grace School's second grade class recently participated in the May Crowning of Mary, a long-standing tradition at the

school. On the first Mass day after the students' first Holy Communion, students place a crown of flowers on a statue of Mary to honor her. Shown in the picture are the second grade class at OLG,

teachers Terran Tysor and Celia McMullen, and principal Kurt Telford.

Congratulations! Congratulations to OLG alumni Sebastian Lucek, Valedictorian and Gabrielle Dimoff, Salutatorian, for Bishop McGuinness High School’s Class of 2014! We are very proud of these former Panthers for upholding our long tradition of academic excellence!
