task came from the Blur album cover designed by the artist Opie.

One of the tools I used was the ‘Magnetic Lasso’. I used this tool to select the different segments that I wanted to colour such as my face, hair, shirt and arms.

After completing that task I hid every layer until there was one left. I then used the ‘Pick Colour’ tool to choose the main colour of the layer. Next, I selected the ’Paint Bucket’ tool and coloured the entire layer the same colour. I proceeded to tins with every layer so that I ended up with a block colour version of the original image. The next step is to create a new layer that is to be placed above the ‘Background’ layer. This new layer is the background block colour so it can be coloured any colour. An optional layer can also be added to add a black outline to the block colours. The ‘Paint Brush tool was used for this.
