ONE YOUNG WORLD Overview

• ONE YOUNG WORLD is a UK based non-profit organisation founded by David Jones, Kate Robertson and founding corporate partner Havas.

• It gathers together the brightest young people from around the world, empowering them to make lasting connections to create positive change.

• This preeminent global forum is for young leaders aged 18-30, who are joined by world leaders, assuming the roles of One Young World Counsellors.

DUBLIN SUMMIT 2014 Introduction

• Ireland’s capital Dublin was selected as a host city of the historically 4th Summit, which took place at the Convention Centre from 15th to 18th October 2014.

• ‘The One Young World Summit 2014 Dublin‘ attended 1300 delegates from over 190 countries.

• Alongside with them, the 2014 Dublin Summit’s counsellors boasted an incredible line-up including Mary Robinson, Sir Bob Geldof, Kofi Annan, Sol Campbell, Sam Branson, Boris Becker and former President of Panama Nicolás Ardito-Barletta.

• I worked at ‘The One Young World Summit 2014 Dublin‘ as a Volunteer Team Leader.

• I was responsible for many aspects of Event Management & Event Production.

• My main assignments were to help to coordinate and to lead approximately 150 Volunteers working on various tasks throughout the Events of this 4 day Summit.
